Last month saw a monster traffic jam stretching at least 120kms and sticking at least 10,000 vehicles from Inner Mongolia to Beijing. Some China Tours especially Beijing Tours affect a great deal. China is really a good place for travel. But China traffic, especially Beijing and Shanghai such international metropolises, the traffic problems really drive us crazy. How dare the traffic problems could destroy your good mood for travelling? Let me give your some tips. Just like Eminem sang, we are not afraid!

1. Try to stagger the working hours. During that time, the traffic jam is everywhere: Second Ring Road, Third Ring Road, even the underground. Do not try the No.1, No.5, and Batong line. Even you can’t get on the train. I took the Batong line at 8am last week. I didn’t get on until the fifth train came by. Although I made it finally, trust me, it’s totally uncomfortable. But I did see lots of foreign tourists enjoy the squeeze. They laughed and shoot pictures about that. I have to say maybe it’s a kind of life experience. And its grandness is definitely typical Chinese culture.

2. Rent a Chinese traditional bicycle. I promise that it’s really cool. It’s not common in Beijing now. Only the foreign tourists or old Beijingers use it. Let’s think about it. You won’t worry about the traffic congestion. Leave them alone. You can stop anywhere anytime if you want. Most importantly, you will be closer to the scenery. That’s the essence of trip. Besides, bicycle riding is also a sport. Just jump off the car and come back into nature’s arms. You will find everything is so different in your new view. Renting a bike is really cheap. It’s about 30-40 RMB per day. Per hour is also available.

3. Find something in the night. You don’t have to hang out in the daytime. Beijing has two favorite bar streets: Sanlitun and Houhai. They are really cool places. I knew Houhai a lot. It’s a nice place for a cool beer. Besides it’s got a really good view of the view, especially in the late night. You can boat in the night. You would be calm and reposed, totally. Foreign tourists always flock to go there. You would make some new friends. Sanlitun is close to the embassy area. Many white collars and young folks also love it. There are some of the most popular clubs, which you shouldn’t miss. Don’t worry. It’s easy to grab a taxi. Then it’s perfect.

4. Keep an eye on the highway condition. You can watch the BTV-9 news or listen to the FM103.9. I’m not sure if your phone’s GPRS system may help you. Search on-line and find which road is under repair. The information can be got in advance. The last thing, make a Chinese friend, he will tell you which road’s condition is a disaster all-time.

5. All the preparations are done. You’ve already become an expert about China traffic. Congratulations. Just one more question. What is the essential thing in your bag? Money? Cell phone? No. It should be a book. Why, you maybe wonder. I want to tell you that it will never be 100% sure on China traffic. Even you’ve got all the preparations; you will be stuck in the traffic jam for some reasons. Doing some reading is the best way to kill the time. C’est la vie. Sometimes life just likes a traffic jam. You can’t change the fact, but you can change your attitude toward the fact.

Well, good luck for your Beijing trip. Actually choose one of the proper Beijing Hotels is half done. Because you won’t have to waste too much time.

For years, China Flights (CF) has covered millions of travelers throughout the world. As one of China’s leading providers of travel insurance and assistance services plans, CF has been helping travelers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Coverage provided through CA is easy to buy and with 24-hour emergency travel services it’s even easier to use.

Air travel insurance in Air China, often called flight insurance, is essentially a short-term life insurance policy. It covers the policyholder in the case of accidental death during the boarding, flight, and deplaning of a single flight, and must be purchased prior to departure. If an accident occurs, benefits are distributed to the policyholder’s beneficiary. Once the trip is over, and the policyholder deplanes, the policy is null and void. Air travel insurance may be purchased as a single policy or as part of a blanket travel insurance policy that includes such products as travel health insurance, baggage insurance, and trip cancellation insurance. Several major travel insurance underwriters. The advent of the Internet has made it especially easy to purchase air travel insurance. Several flight insurance companies allow you to purchase policies online via a simple one-page form.

In order to cater for the new need of travelers for accident insurance of airline travel, a life-insurance company in China has introduced a brand-new insurance product—an electronic guarantee plan for airline travel, which is a combination of accident insurance for airline flight and travel inconvenience insurance, and designed for domestic travelers of scheduled flight of China Eastern Airlines by Cathay Life and Cathay Properties & Casualty. This inexpensive product insures accident insurance for air travelers with 0.6 million RMB as well as compensation with 600-1000 RMB for flight cancellation ,flight delay and baggage delay .

A related person in charge from Cathay Life said ,’’This combination replaced the traditional sales model by paper. Tourists could buy this product through the website or booking hotline of China Eastern Airlines, and insurance information will be displayed in the route list of electronic air-ticket for passengers, which is convenient to apply for reimbursement. After effecting an insurance, travelers can verify insurance policy via website of TravelSky Technology Limited, insurance company and customer service telephone number. If travelers have any questions about policy or payment of claims, just call  one of the underwriters for more information .”

You’ve probably been enticed to buy travel insurance directly from your airline or online travel agency. It seems relatively cheap and easy, but what kind of protection do you actually get? As with all things, you get what you pay for. Airline-sold policies, even if underwritten by a major travel insurer , is the same thing as buying insurance directly from the travel insurer underwriting the policy. For instance, buying insurance from the airline and you won’t get protection if your airline goes belly up. And in general, pre-existing medical conditions needed to be covered.

Like other forms of insurance, the decision whether to purchase air travel insurance in China Airlines is a personal one. To some extent, this insurance plays upon travelers fear of flying. Someone who would never think of insuring a single car trip (even if you could buy that kind of policy), buys a flight insurance policy because of the public’s uncertainty about flying. This type of insurance also often duplicates standard life insurance coverage. Only you can decide whether air travel insurance is right for you. Just make sure to research the various products and overages and make an informed, rather than an emotional, decision.

China is the third largest country in the world, so a convenient transportation is necessary to you to have a good trip.
About the air lines in China, you can have good selections, the most famous five air companies are Air China; China Eastern Airlines; China Southern Airlines; China Southwest Airlines; China Northwest Airlines; Hainan Airlines; Shenzhen Airlines. These air companies have good services and safety support. The tickets can be bought in most possible method. I can give you some details if you are interested in this.
After you have got in China, you’ll travel by other kinds of vehicles. Train is a good choice. Traveling by train in China is one of the cheapest ways to travel some of the long distances in China and is used widely by the local population. But you must pay more attention to the “rush hour”. In China, the rush hour of railway is the Spring festival, the National Day, people go home at this time, so the train will be terrible crowd.
In the city, you can take bus or subway to the attractions. Subway in Beijing is so convenient that you can go everywhere you want. In another way, you can borrow a car form the rental car companies, it’s not so expensive and you drive to everywhere by your own car. I think it’s better than public conveyances.
China Hotels
When you arrived in China, hotel is the first thing that you should deal with. A comfortable place can give you a good rest after a heavy day. In the

big cities, such for Beijing, Shanghai, there have five star standard hotels.
Shangri-la Hotel, Beijing International Hotel, Hilton Hotel. These all can give you the fluffy luxuries. But in my opinion, you can try some “nongjiale”. It means you stay in the local people’s home, and eat some traditional food they made by themselves. Oh, by the way, the charge is reasonable, and you can enjoy the nature fun different from the luxury hotel.

Almost all airlines aim to make full use of airplane seats and to protect interests of airline companies through flights overbooking. In China, airlines will make the ratio of airfares overbooked and sold less than 5 percent, such as Beijing Flights and Shanghai Flights.

Some friends hold the question that some people can not get on board if flight overbooked? Exactly, when this situation exists, the airline companies usually search for volunteers to change to another flight. If the amounts of volunteers are not enough, the airline company will refuse to make passengers get on board but use cash in compensation. Besides, the airline company will provide the volunteer passengers the official certification compensation and the favorable travel plan and passengers not on board in compensation with cash.

What should we do to avoid being refused to get on board?

We should know some regular rules of flights overbooking.

1 the more popular the flight is, the more chances to be overbooked

2 get to the airport as early as possible. When the airline company prepares to refuse passengers overbooking to get on board, passengers coming later will easily be on target.

3 the more the ticket is discounted, the more possible to be on target. So if you have bought the discounted ticket, check in as early as you can.

What should we do when flight overbooked?

1.Returning the ticket. If you have enough time and do not in a hurry, you can communicate with airline companies to refund the ticket and ask for compensation. However, airline companies do not always choose to solve flight overbooked in this way. But if possible, it is considerate to change to another flight more discounted.
2.Changing the ticket. It is the common way to solve the flight overbooking. And also you should acquire the company to compensate for passengers. No matter refunding or changing tickets, flights china companies do not have the clear regulations. It is wise to let companies provide solutions firstly then negotiate with them.

What airline companies usually do when flights overbooked?

1.warning in advance. Check in department will check the overbooking situation after 4 pm through the ET system the day before the airline will get off. Airline companies will leave special seats for passengers according to the overbooking situation.

2.Increasing the level of flight cabins. When the cabin of lower level is overbooked while the higher level spared, airline companies will arrange the passengers to the cabin of higher level cabin according to the cabin ticket number sequence.

3.Search for the volunteer passengers. Check in department will publish the note of overbooking condition and search for volunteers to change flights of the same company or other companies through the radio and enquiry.

4.Change flights. Check in departments will get in the spare seats of other flights of all airline companies and change the overbooking flight in the way of “GOSHOW” or ”FIM”

5.Scroll disposal. Fights in heavy density of one air routes (such as the Beijing flight) are always overbooked. The next flight will receive overbooking passengers of the last one in scroll so the passengers will not wait so long time and reduce passengers’ dissatisfaction.

6.Compensation. Airline companies always provide passengers accommodation and compensation according to the international common practices or the administration regulations of the airline company. After paid the compensation, passengers will fill in the <compensation statements> and agree the solving method against passengers’ all  possible claims, costs and losses by the way of  their giving up the booked flight.

7.Publicity of overbooking knowledge. To ensure the normal operation and protect the passengers’ interests, airline companies will broaden the publicity of flights overbooking to make public a comprehensive understanding of the business way and compensation measures of flights overbooking, apart from the administrative regulations of standardizing flights overbooking.

An Exclusive Tour Guide

Hey. Are you interested in China Tours or even Beijing Tours? Maybe you just want to go there, but don’t have a clue. Well, the tour guide plays an important role in this situation. A bad choice may lead to the disappointment and upset of your trip. So here are the matters which you need to pay attention.

1 Make sure your trip in approach. The team travelled or the self-guided tour. If you are unfamiliar with the Chinese language, culture, and transportation or you’ve never been China before, I strongly recommend that you should choose a proper travel community. The two approaches of travel have their own advantage and disadvantage. The team travelled will save your time and money. You don’t have to book the air ticket and hotel by yourself. However, you probably won’t schedule by yourself. The benefits and costs depend on you anyway.

2 Choose a creditworthy travel agency. If you decide to choose the team travelled, this is really a big deal. The quality of travel agency has a directly influence on your trip. So at first, you should search some travel agencies on-line. And then, ask for the schedule and compare their quotation. You can’t just simply compare the price, because sometimes the tourist routes maybe are likely, the specific spot and hotel could be different. You have to be careful about that. Don’t take it for granted. When you find the differences between the reality and your dreams, you will regret.

3 Prepare all the stuff before you go. The weather in China is complicated. You should try to get the local weather information. And according the local weather, you can pick up the right clothes. Secondly, the universal plug is necessary. Otherwise when your phone or camera’s batteries are dead, you can’t charge in time. It really sucks. Thirdly, please figure out what is approved or forbidden in China. You can also check it on-line. The last but not least, you should take your common medicine. Since some marvelous spots maybe a little bit out of the way, the medical technique may not that developed. Just in case.

4 Keep up with the guide. Please abide by the gathering time. After all, getting lost is a trouble. Do not let any kinds of trouble affect your good mood. Here are another matters you also should pay attention. Most large-scale travel agencies are reliable. Clear the exact name of travel agency. You have to avoid the personation. Ask the quotation as specific as you can. Sometimes the price is low, because it doesn’t include the airport tax, insurance, or entrance ticket. You should think about it. Even the guide’s recommendation is not so reliable all the time. Just buy everything you want. The travel contract is the extremely important thing. You must figure out all the details. You can’t believe the oral promise. When something happens, using the contract to safeguard the rights and interests. When you arrive at the hotel, you can take a hotel card. Once you get lost, you can show the card to the taxi diver. Chinese taxi divers are enthusiastic and friendly.

I’m not sure all the things you should take care are mentioned. There must be something I forget. Don’t let those tips burn out your passion of Travel to China, or Travel to Beijing. When I plan to take a trip, I also feel upset about the preparation. But once you take care of all the so-called pretty things, you can enjoy a wonderful trip without any worries and troubles. You will think everything is deserved at that time. Finally, wish you a good trip.

Many friends have to face the problems of packing baggage. Although preparing the goods needed in travel is not so troublesome, we always find something lost at home when couples of days outside. Besides, countries have different regulations about the baggage checking, so getting luggage ready is important. Beijing Tours and Shanghai Tours are popular for foreigners. Here are some suggestions.

What should I take when traveling outside?

Before going outside, remember to carry important document items, such as the air ticket, the passport and the ID card. You had better put them in the packet carrying always with maps, schedule, address book included Traveling clothes are the major part of the baggage. Generally, we should choose clothes easily ventilated, less heat but more sweat absorptive, dirty endured and easily washed. According to these regulations, sportswear and jeans are the best choices.

As we all know, it takes a long walk when travel outside. So we should choose pairs of shoes in line with the places we go. Sports shoes or casual shoes are good when on the seaside or scenic sports on the land. However, if we go hiking, rock climbing or exploring, sports shoes with big particles on the sole, strongly land grasping, skid resistance and wear resistance.

What is more, carrying an umbrella protects you from the rain and the strong sunlight. Sunglasses help you avoid of eyes being stimulated by the light or sands and make you feel cool.

The sufferers of chronic diseases should carry the pills took regularly at ordinary time. At the same time, some travelers should also take some common medicines such as cold medicines, motion sickness pills and band-aids in case of being ill on the way.

How to pack the baggage?

When we pack the baggage, we should pack goods we take in small parts in order to spare the space for the souvenirs and gifts. The large and heavy goods are put at the bottom, small and light ones upside. Fragile articles should be packed by the clothes or towels and put the rolled towel and uneasily knit clothes in the space of the luggage. The spared space can hold the small articles such as handkerchief or socks. The tighter the articles with each other, the less possible injured.

how to consign the baggage

After getting the air tickets, we should read the statements on the back carefully to get some fundamental information of requirements about baggage units and weighs. They differ according to the standards of airline companies. We pay attention on the baggage over 32kilos, it should be packed separately or the over weight charges is considerable. Besides that staffs of the airline company have the right to refuse your baggage over 32kilos in case of body injured. In addition, no matter how many times you transfer airplanes, you should try your best to consign your luggage to the destination without stops. Do not to consign in the transfer airport in case of going through the formalities once more.

What to do when baggage overweighs?

Commonly some optional goods make your baggage over weighs, so why not send them back home? Most airline companies provide the “send back service” ,which charges about RMB10. If the baggage cannot be simplified, you can contact with the airline company to advance or delay the consigning of goods not that urgent. It is a good way to save the money.

There are many friends asking me about advices to other countries, the most questions are about what shall I prepare to travel.
