Travel Information

For foreign people who visit China and its cities after 2008 Beijing Olympiad, most of the famous places printed several foreign languages tour information guide, so that you can be relax and get one for free at the entrance. Cell phone and Chinese civil passenger train are very important to people who come to China for visit at very first time. After September 1st, 2010, you can but cell phone SIM card at any mobile stores or vending stores on the street by your ID card or passport. Three major mobile companies are holding the services for cell phones, they are China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom. All these three companies have different packages for varieties of customers. 2G and 3G network are all can be used in mainland China now.

China is currently redeveloping its entire railway network to produce a modern high-speed network. By the end of 2009 China expects to have a railway network length covering 89,000 km, which includes both freight and passenger railway lines.

There are seven types of tickets that may be purchased, First Class Seat used for CRH series EMU trains. There are 4 seats per row, just similar as soft seat; Second Class Seat used for CRH series EMU trains. Similar as hard seat, there are 5 seats per row, the sitting area is relatively small; Hard seat is the basic fare, somewhat similar to the economy class on an airplane. On busier routes, passengers who cannot arrange for better seats because of overcrowding must also purchase this type of ticket. In some cases, tickets are sold with no seat assigned, which allows the railway to sell more tickets than there are seats in the car. Still, even the number of “no seat” tickets offered for sale is limited, to keep overcrowding within limits; Soft seat is one level above the Hard Seat. There are 4 seats per row, so it has comfortable seating similar to business class on airplanes; Hard sleeper is the basic accommodation for an overnight train. Despite the name, the bunks comfortably accommodate anyone below six feet. Bunks are arranged three on a side in a compartment – indicated by top, middle and bottom on the ticket. But there are no doors for the compartments; Soft sleeper contains a wider bunk bed in an enclosed cabin, two bunks to a side, and an entertainment system where movie channels are available for viewing through headphones and an LCD display for each bunk. These tickets are usually reserved more than a week prior to departure. Now some CRH series EMU trains also have soft sleepers, such as CRH1E and CRH2E. Luxury soft sleeper is the top level sleeper that is only owned by a few trains. The ticket is also much more expensive than that of soft sleeper. It only contains two beds in a cabin, and there is an independent toilet in every cabin. Some of them has a shower cubicle in the car.

For most people who like china travel, Beijing is your fist choice. Because it is the center of China and there are many classic buildings and history architectures which stand for the imperial style. And, it is unique in the world. People who Travel to Beijing mostly wants to experience the life and the culture of China. Now, I will tell you a palace which is famous for its beautiful and natural scenery. It is called Beidaihe River.

Beidaihe is a district of Qinhuangdao city of Hebei province and it is in the west of Qinhuangdao city. It is famous for its beautiful scenery, wonderful beach and high-quality climate. In summer, it will not be too hot while in winter it will not be too cold. So, it is a summer resort since Qing Dynasty. Recently, more and more people have a vacation there in summer. Last year, I visited Beidaihe with a package and had a good time there.

1. On the first day: Pigeon Nest

On the first day, we went to a park called Pigeon Nest which faces to Bohai. In addition, it is the symbol of Beidaihe. There is also a beautiful beach. You can walk on the beach or collect shells with the breeze blowing your face. That is wonderful! On the beach, there is a cliff which is formed by the ground fault. It is the best palace for seeing the sunrise. So, in the morning, people crowed there prepare to see the sunrise. As the old things goes, a lot of pigeon gathered in the cliff and lived there, so called it Pigeon Nest. Once upon a time, our chairman Mao wrote a poet when he enjoyed the beautiful scenery from the cliff.

We spent a whole day playing in the park. In the Moring, we got there early in order to see the sunrise. You can see the sun rose out of the sea little by little. And then, it rise out quickly in the air. That is a wonderful feeling! After that, we came to the beach. This is the best palace we want to get because we can play game, collect shells and play water with friend. By the way, you can catch the mussel in the sea. I had remembered that I have caught some mussels. Though our clothes are all wet, we had a good time on the beach. Final, I took them home and distributed them to my sisters. In the afternoon, we had a picnic in the park. Though we took a lot of food, it was not enough for we were all very tired and angry after playing. So, I suggest you take enough food and water.

2. On the second day: Laolongtou

Our second sation is Laolongtou located on coastal high ground which is 5 km south of Shanhaiguan and itself forms a peninsula stretching into the Bohai. Great Wall into sea from here and it is the end of the Great Wall. Once you reached the Laolongtou, facing the rough wave and big sea without seeing the other side, you can enjoy this unique majestic Great Wall at sea.

This was the second station of our trip. In the second day, we arrived at the Laolongtou. Fist of all, we visited the old buildings along the Great Wall which is similar to the one in Beijing. And then, we climbed the Great Wall and enjoyed the big sea and breeze over sea. And we felt the magnificence of the sea. I think that is the best thing you should experience in Laolongtou. There also is a beach which is larger than the one we have been to the former day. You can take assault boat surfing on the sea.

That is my trip in Beidaihe. If you like Beijng Tours and travel to Beijing, I suggest you visit it.

Air Ticket Canada and USA

On October 21, 2010, in Cultural Experience, by Jack Li

My friend Mary took a travel to Canada and USA. She set up from Shanghai, by way of Guangzhou. She took Guangzhou Flights and Guangzhou Hotels there. My friend Mary took a travel to Canada and USA. She set up from Shanghai, by way of Guangzhou. She took Guangzhou Flights and Guangzhou Hotels there. The route from China to North America is Guangzhou, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Los Angeles, Guangzhou. She chose the China South Airline with the single route cost 1199RMB. It was totally more than 5000RMB with the tax.

How much to pay from China to USA? At least 10000RMB, but this time it only costs about 1000RMB. So Mary set up immediately. She had a good friend in Vancouver, so she preferred to spend a good holiday there. There were so many North America airline companies and many airports in a city. While on the top of the searching page, there were prices ranking of flight with or without stops. The key point was the airlines tickets at that time were without tax. So with the chance Mary took the USA Mainland Airline and USA Compound Airline, the price totally was 299 dollars. Maybe it was cheap to book in America, but Mary was in China at that time.

When Mary arrived in Los Angeles, she went to the famous Melrose shopping street, but it was far away from what she had expected. The road was wide but the cars were roaring all the time. However the dwelling houses were as beautiful as it was showed in America TV series. The second stop was in the Hollywood Universal Studio, where the whole world’s movie fans were dreaming for. Mary was playing there for a whole day and had a great time. The most attractive part was fireworks in the evening, with the castles of Disney land around, Mary felt she was a princess.

When she arrived in Vancouver, she lived in her best friend’s house. The house was located in the seaside. There was a snow mountain over the sea. In the morning, there were lots of birds around the gate finding food. It was like living in the dream. This was the 2010year Winter Olympic being held.

There was still on thing to make Mary unhappy. Because she mistaken the first name and the last name. So Mary contacted the airline company as soon as possible. The airline company said that the name would not be corrected but they could add a remark. Although the process was not that smooth, but she got on board finally.

 TIPS:

1 when booking tickets on foreign websites, the name order should not be written with mistakes, first name was the given name on the passport, last name was the surname on the passport. For Chinese, there is no need to write the middle name.

2 there are many airline companies to avoid defraud with credit cards, the people on board must include the holder who had using it to book on line. So be careful if you have this kind of question.

3many people think that it is not easy to take a self-help trip to USA, for the visa is not easy to get. Actually, it is not that difficult, for I have prepared a lot of materials for applying for visas, but the visa officer only watched the magazines with my traveling pictures and articles and said ok. He even did not ask my income and housing estate identifications. The price for visa is about 943RMB.

If you want to know more about the travel stories to different countries and how to get visas, there are many good advices on this website, china travel. You can check that and may be you will get a surprise.

Learn Some Useful Travel Chinese Words

Before an international trip, what you should learn besides the trip planning and interested sights? The native languages! Although you can join a travel agency and have an English-speaking guide, you still need to learn some native words or phrases. On one hand, this would add more fun to your Beijing or Shanghai Tours, where you probably won’t refrain from not speaking Chinese; on the other hand, this will definitely help you when Travel to Guilin, or other relatively remote cities in Southeastern China. When I was taking a bus on the first day in 2009, I was so surprised to hear “hello” in Chinese from the bus driver. Then I talked with him about how he memorized these “difficult” Chinese words. He told me the similar trick that we ever used for learning English: replace the pronunciations with similar sounds in English! It seems like this method is universal in learning every simple words in other languages. So next, I will teach you these useful travel words and phrases in this way.

For daily phrases, Hello in Chinese sounds like “knee how”, and the pinyin (Standard Chinese pronunciation) is “ni3hao3”. The number “3” after Roman alphabet represents the tones of this word “ni” or “hao”. There are four tones in Chinese: 1) tone 1, high/ soprano tone; 2) tone 2, rising/ enquiring tone; 3) tone 3, falling rising/ sarcastic tone; 4) tone 4, falling/ emphatic tone. How are you? equals to “knee how ma?”, as the pinyin is “ni3hao3ma”. Good morning is “Dzau-shung how” and the pinyin is “zao3 shang4 hao3”. Sorry is a frequent word and in Chinese it is “Dway boo chee”. The tones and pinyin is “Dui4 bu4 qi3”. Thank you is another word you need to learn. You can just remember “Sshyeah sshyeah”, while the tones are “xie4 xie4”.

Another group of words is useful when you are trying to bargaining. Too Expensive in Chinese is “Tie gway luh” and the correct pinyin is “Tai4 Gui4 Le”. From the number one to ten, the responding Chinese words sound like “ee “ for 1, “r” for 2, “san” for 3, “sz” for 4, “oo” for 5, “leo” for 6, “chee” for 7, “bah” for 8, “jeo” for 9, “shr” for 10. For two digits numbers, just remember the rules: the number on tens digit+”shr”(for 10)+ the number on unit digit. For example, 23 in Chinese is “r shr san”. A hundred sounds like “ee bye” and A thousand is “ee chee an”. The rules for three-digit numbers are similar to the two-digit numbers: the number on hundreds digit+”bye”(for 100)+the number on tens digit+”shr”(for 10)+the number on the unit digit. For instance, 256 is “r bye oo shr leo”.

The third kind of phrases is useful for asking people for directions, which are the most frequent problems in travelling in China. Where is the bathroom? is “Sshee shoh jyen dzeye nah-lee?”. Bathroom is “sshee1 shoh3 jyen3” and “where is” is “dzeye nah-lee”. What is this? is “Jer shrr shnn-muh?”. How long (time)? is “Dwor jyoh”. What time? / What’s the time? is “Jee-dyen jong”. Do you have..? is “Yoh-may-yoh…?”

These words or phrases above are only a fraction of complicated Chinese daily words. However, since it takes long time to grasp a new language, especially a completely different one like Chinese, it is better for you to just write several words and their similar pronunciations. Also if you do not know Chinese at all and do not have time to learn these hard pronunciations, you can book the trip, including vacation packages, China Hotels, airlines online through some legal agencies. They will consider these for you and prepare everything you need during the trip.

1. Travelling in Australia

Australia lies in the Oceanic Continent between the South Pacific and Indian Oceans. Its neighboring areas include Indonesia, East Timor and Papua New Guinea to the north, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu to the northeast, and New Zealand to the southeast. The shortest border distance is between Papua New Guinea and Australia at about five kilometers. As the world’s sixth-largest county with 7.68million square kilometers, Australia measures 4000 kilometers east to west and 3,200 kilometers north to south. Its population is 19.5 million. The bulk of the population lives on the narrow, fertile eastern coastal plain and the southeastern coast. Australia has 8 administrative divisions: 6 state and 2 territories. Canberra is the capital city. Other important cities include Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, and Hobart.

The real attraction of Australia is its striking natural wonders and harshly beautiful scenery, but its modern civilization has its own appeal as seen in the fascination blend of European and Asian elements. There are more than 200 species of native birds, mammals and reptiles in the largest collection of Austrian wildlife. They are displayed in a beautiful bush land setting. We’ll explore the fern gullies, wetlands and forests of the sanctuary and also a diversity of Australian animals in their natural settings. We’ll see the Tasmanian Devils, the frog bog, the platypus and wallabies and also the wombat show and the birds of prey if we are lucky.

2. Travelling in Paris

Located in the north central part of France, Paris is the capital and most populous city. Paris, the art capital of Europe along with Rome, is home to numerous historical buildings and monuments. The Eiffel Tower was built for the International Exhibition of Paris of 1889 commemorating the centenary of the French Revolution. Walk up this metal monstrosity, and don’t take the cable car, you can get a real feel for its history and magnitude. Before the Palace Charles de Gaulle, lies the Arc de Triomphe. Construction on the Arch began in 1806, restarted in 1825, and was not finished until 1836. It is built on the model of ancient Triumphal Arches with a monumental size: 50meters tall and 45 meters wide.

3. Travelling in Egypt

The Pyramids at Giza, part of a massive necropolis attached to the ancient capital of Memphis, are the sole survivors of the Seven Wonders of the World and the planet’s oldest tourist attraction. Built by successive generation of phataohs, they were already more than 2500 years old at the time of the birth if Jesus Christ. The Great Pyramid of Khufu stood 146m high when it was competed around 2600BC. About 2.3 million limestone blocks, weighing around 2.5 tones each, were used in the construction of this giant. Although there is not much to see inside the pyramid, the experience of climbing through such an ancient structure is unforgettable. Along the eastern and southern sides of the pyramid are five long pits that once contained the pharaoh’s boats. Southwest of Khufu is the Pyramid of Khafre. At a height of 62 m, the Pyramid of Menkaure is the smallest of the three pyramids.

These are some international packages information, if you want to get some information you can contact china travel and if you want to get information about flights you can contact China Flights.

Personal Experience about Accommodation and Transportation for Three Gorges Tour

We all know that the suitable seasons for Three Gorges Tour are spring and autumn in China Tours. And the most part of our travel fares are spent on accommodation and transportation. So, here I want to share my personal experience about these.

How to go there and which kind of transport should you take? Undoubtedly, it is the China Airlines. And there are two airports.

Jiangbei Airport, Chongqing

Chongqing is a city with mountainous area. So traveling by plane is a safe and effective way. And Chongqing has direct flights to more than 40 cities in the country. After the end of trip to Chongqing, you can fly directly to Urumqi, Xinjiang; Kunming, Yunnan; Lhasa, Tibet to continue your trip to southwest.

Moreover, Jiangbei Airport is in Two-road Town, Yubei, Chongqing, where is 23 km away from the downtown. And there are highways directly access to the city center. You can get special car of Civil Aviation sent to the Jiangbei Airport in Fire Station near Shangqing Temple.

Three Gorges Airport, Yichang

Three Gorges Airport has opened 20 domestic routes, involving Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, Chongqing, Shandong, Henan and other developed open city. Today, the Three Gorges Airport has become one of the important tourist airports domestically and also the important airport that served for the Three Gorges Project.

By the way, Three Gorges Airport is 26 km away from the city. You can take a taxi to there. And its airport shuttle bus starts off from Qingjiang Hotel 2 hours before the flight taking off.

Things above are the ways for your arrival. Next is about your way on the trip.

Water transport

It is strongly recommended and common to go for a sail and go sightseeing when pulling in to the scenic shore. The advantage of this is that you can leave the transport, accommodation, catering to the cruise ships staff. This could remove the pain to run around and the trouble to find a hotel firstly when arriving at each place so that you can get a more relaxing trip in the whole process. Surely ships pull in to each scenic shore along Yangtze River.

People who take the Three Gorges Cruises usually select the “Chongqing – Yichang (or Yichang – Chongqing)” section, stopping along the way Fuling, Fengdu, Zhong County, Wanzhou, Yunyang, Fengjie, Wushan and Badong, Mau Ping and so on. Ordinary cruise is divided into five grades of shipping space, ranging from state-space until ordinary seats. And the full fares vary from 180 yuan (ordinary seat) to 2,100 yuan (state) and the fare includes admission tickets as well as some shore scenic spots. In addition, the Three Gorges navigation lines have some luxury cruise ship routes, such as the Victoria series, the Yangtze Angel series, Yangtze Princess series and so on. They have more luxurious facilities, including meals on board. Of course, fares are more expensive. The whole tour itinerary generally takes about 3 days (due to the 1 day difference between fair current and counter current).

Notes: Cruise fares and journey time for upstream and downstream water vary, so in the same range, it is normal that ticket prices and sailing time between downstream and upstream sailing are different. Generally price for downstream sailing is higher than the upstream while upstream sailing takes one more day than downstream sailing.(of the Three Gorges section).

Where should we get accommodation?

The most comfortable way to visit the Three Gorges is by cruise ship to enjoy the river view and you can land every scenic spot. It makes you not only remove from the daily pain of change to find another hotel but also enjoy a different landscape out of the window for each day.

Cruises have different prices and soft hardware facilities for their various classes and shipping space. Luxury cruise ships, such as the Victoria series, the Yangtze River series, the Ambassador series, look like the moving water luxury hotel, facilities comparable to the star hotels, comfortable and convenient with no major differences in the land of life. Of course, you have to pay a lot. The whole price (Chongqing – Yichang section, 3 days) is about 2000 – 3000 yuan (Standard Room mid-price), including restaurants and attractions tickets. Due to the different ordinary space and facilities, prices in ordinary cruises vary greatly and do not include meals on board.

If you want to have more specific info about the flights, you can also contact Air China.

Opened in January, 2007, Kempinski Hotel became famous for various reasons in China Hotels. More and more foreign tourists like to choose it when having china travel.

It is the latest luxury five-star hotel and the only one which owns a private beach resort hotel in Sanya Bay. It faces the boundless blue sea, surrounded by palms and coconut trees, quiet and cosy. And its surrounding landscapes are West island scenic area, TIAN YA HAI JIAO, Tianya tropical marine zoo and Sanya Love World. Moreover, rooms in Kempinski Hotel are equipped with a private balcony and private terrace bathroom. That means you can enjoy spectacular sea views when taking a bath. You can image how cosey it could be. Besides those above, its fame also contributes to the following services and facilities.

Relaxation facilities: Angsana Spa center managed by Banyan Tree can provide spas that release your mind and take bodycare. And it has the longest water slide in China, which brings you a more unforgettable and exciting holiday.

Catering services: the Paulaner Bar supplies classic Bavarian food with fresh beer brewed from mini-cellar for you; the airplatform offers both fresh and tender seafood and wonderful views of sea scarp; Longyuan Chinese restaurant provides delicate Cantonese dishes and Chinese and western food made by Kranzler also can satisfied your appetites.

Besides, the hotel has different kinds of meeting rooms. And it has professional service team that can assistant you to finish comprehensive holding things. As it was founded in recent year, all the meeting rooms are equipped with advanced soft and hardware facilities.

Information above may be official in some kinds. So I scanned the comments from experienced guests. Most of the guests were impressed by its satisfied service. One said that there were so many families with the old and kids, which suggest that staff served the old and kids very well. The second one that accepted by most people even by foreigners is that prices there is very cost-effective. It charges about 1400yuan for deluxe room today. The first-level room facilities, wonderful pools and views and the best service quality etc. bring the Kempinski Hotel high prestige. Well, the often mentioned problem is that the BBQ in cafeteria has few kinds. I don’t know whether it has improved or not now.

p.s. the credit cards allowed are: Master, VISA, AMEX, Dinners Club, JCB and Peony credit card.

Kempinski Resort & Spa Sanya has very convenient transport—12-15km from the airport which takes about 15mins; 10-15km from the city center (15mins as well); 5-10km from West Island which takes 8mins about.

It is strongly recommended for you to make a reservation when travel to Sanya in China Tours.

Advices for Xi an Travel Low

Xi’an, as one of the Top 4 ancient city in the world (the others are Athens, Cairo and Rome), surely has the most places of interest. No matter the Qin Dynasty or Tang Dynasty, they have their historic remaining sites in Xi’an. So it is the must-to-go place for foreigners when having china travel. Here I will give you some advices about the DIY Xi’an Tours.

I just plan a 6 or 7 days trip for Xi’an. And the following are the arrangement for each day.

The first day—travel inner the city

As you have just arrived there, it is a good choice for you to have this easier line. And the regular places include Bell Tower, Shaanxi history museum, Forest of steles, etc. Here I suggest the museum, Big Wild Goose Pagoda and its North Plaza, Hui streets and Xi’an Circumvallation as the must-to-go places.

Shaanxi History Museum, known as “Huaxia Treasury” and “magnificent temple of Chinese civilization”, surely could be the most representative one compared with other museums in Shaanxi Province. So if you have visited this museum, there is no necessary to visit the others. And Shaanxi history museum is now free with daily 3000 complimentary tickets which begin to give out at eight o’clock in the morning. You will see unearthed precious artifacts thousands of years ago in Shaanxi Province. By the way, it is necessary to follow a guide to illustrate the history of treasures so that you can understand things there more exact. But as there are so many touring parties, it is wise and easy to follow them with no formal join.

Big Wild Goose Pagoda, A masterpiece of architectural art of Chinese Tang Dynasty Buddhist, used to store the Buddhist Scriptures from India brought by Xuanzang. It has been famous since Tang Dynasty. It is also a well-known landmarks and monuments in the ancient city of Xi’an. And in its North Plaza, there is the largest music Fountain in Asia. It is the most important square of Tang Culture in China. You’d better go there at night for its largest lamplight fountain.

p.s.   Musical Fountain Show Time:

Monday to Friday: 12:00, 20:00.

Saturday and Sunday: 12:00, 14:00, 16:00, 18:00, 21:00

Winter (November to next January) generally does not show, except the New Year.

Hui Streets is famous for both its delicious local food and profound cultural connotation. Xi’an north courtyard, one of the Hui Streets, is an important paving for Muslim areas. Food or other objects there are all operated by Muslim. It has strong Islamic features, which is deeply loved by foreign tourists.

Xi’an Ancient Circumvallation includes a moat, drawbridge, gate building, watchtower and a series of Embrasure military facilities; constituted a tightly integrated military defense system. To visit the ancient city wall of Xi’an, you can get a specific image of ancient wars and know more about urban construction and architectural arts. Well, wall at nightfall is very beautiful, especially where few people, you can wander in the very broad sense of the ancient city walls, because there is no shade above facilities.

Forest of steles is known as Chinese calligraphy meets land. It has collected thousands of pieces of calligraphy of famous ancient inscriptions and also known as the Museum of Chinese calligraphy inscriptions. And people who knows Calligraphy well can be crazy here while who doesn’t can be crazy opposite.

The second day—eastern line

Spots in eastern are dense and transportation there is very convenient, so there is no need for you to join a touring party. And Bus NO.306 (Tour 5) which is in the China Post Office opposite the railway station can get through all most eastern spots. And the price is 5 yuan one-way and 8 yuan round trip fare (you can get on and off at random among the attractions and no taking times limits). Besides its operating hours is 8:00 am – 6:00 pm. You can get chartered car for 80-150 yuan..

Well, the famous Terra Cotta Warriors, Qin tomb, Huaqing hot spring and Ban Po Village Remains are in the eastern line. Obviously, you must visit Terra Cotta Warriors.

p.s. Tickets: 65 yuan off-season price, 90 yuan the peak season price and students with IDs can get half-fare tickets. Disabled card holders with disabilities pay half price. 16 years of age and 65 years old ones with ID card get free of charge.

As to Huaqing hot spring, if you do not have enough, just overlook it. If you are interested in matriarchy, you should visit the Ban Po Village Remains.

The third day—western line

As attractions there are scattered and the traffic is not convenient, it is better for you to hire a car or participate in some touring parties. Taxi for round trip charges 400 yuan and private car for you is 200 yuan. And tour buses are available at the railway station, the price will be paid according to the entrance ticket that you bought. And it would be wise to get some food in advance as there is few places for meals and the place arranged by guides could be expensive.

Famen Temple and Qian Tomb are recommended to visit on the western line. Remember Famen Temple prohibits taking photos. And Qian Town which is 3km away from Qian Tomb has the three cut-off food—Guokui, Guamian and tofu jelly. You may have a taste.

In addition, Hua Mountain could take a day trip and Hukou waterfall, Mausoleum of Yellow Emperor and Yan’an can consist of your northern line which may take you 2days trip.

As referred above, your integrated Travel to Xi’an could take almost a week. And the info above is for your reference only.

Some people think that plans of tour group are inflexible and quite boring. Therefore, some of them plan to travel to china by themselves but they worry about the ticket. Are you one of them? If you are planning your China Tours and know little about china travel, here I have some tips for you about how to travel by yourself in Xiamen, China.

Xiamen is a tourist city of Fujian Province famous for its attractive seascape. Located at the southeast coast of China, it is a beautiful place with good urban afforesting and greening. (In the picture left side, you can see one part of the island ring road is bent, because people want to protect the banyan tree beside it.)

 1.       How to buy air tickets at low price

Let us talk about a self-service travel from how to buy air tickets at low prices. In all, there are two effect ways to book air tickets.

The first one is to check the information on websides of China Air Lines. Most Air Lines in china have international lines. Such as Air China, China Airlines, China Southern Airlines and China Eastern Airlines. They always update information on their webside promptly. Type in where are you flying from, your destination and the departing date, and then you can make the most suitable choice from all the results.

The other way is to ask for a a travel agency for help (book the air ticket). Travel agencies usually have services like these and you choose from different airlines much more easily. It is much cheaper because almost all the travel agencies can get discount tickets.

 2.       Book Youth Hotels in advance

Of course, you can get a lot of information about Xiamen Hotels on the internet. Usually, a standerd room of a five star hotel in Xiamen (per night) costs around five hundred yuan. Is it a little bit expensive? So what I want to recommond to you is the Youth Hotel in Xiamen, an elegant European-style pavilion which provides humanized services. (the drawing in the picrure is a lovely guide post in the hotel.)

Xiamen Gulangyu International Youth Hotel located in No.18 Luqiao Road, Gulangyu Island, Xiamen, China. It is just sixty meters away from the Gulangyu Ferry Terminal. Its webside is asfollows: http://www.yhagly.com/. It is written in both chinese and english. So you can see the room type (single room, twin room, double room, family suite, deluxe suite etc), normal price, room facilities (air-conditioning,round-the-clock hot water, free wireless internet access, boot tickets, Valuables Storage,Drinking fountains, coffee bars etc) and ways to get to this hotel. (On one hand, Xiamen is a famous tourist city, on the other hand, youth hotels become more and more popular among tourists from both at home and aborad, so you have to book your room about one month beforehand.)
You can also connect them by making a phone call them or sending an E-mail.

3.       Travel in Xiamen

Ferry boat:

Gulangyu is an island in Xiamen which contains many famous interests(Sunlight Rock, Undersea world, construction of mounuments etc), so if you want to get there, the only way is to get there by boat. It is free to go from Xiamen to Gulangyu and it takes 8 yuan to come back. One more yuan is charged if you want to sit on the upper deck.

There are many owners of privates boats near the ferry, they usually ask for higher prices but offer services lacking of security. Therefore, do not take their boat for your safety.

Taxi: minimum fare for three miles(8 yuan)+2yuan per mile*miles

Bus: 1 yuan each time. (prepare some small charge for it.)

It takes you at least two days to visit this beautiful city. If you want to take a closer look of it, book your China Hotels in advance and prepare a special self-service tour to Xiamen of your own!

When I use to think of Karaoke, I thought of drunken Chav’s screeching very badly to lame cheesy music in a very rough pub with

a pint of  dirty beer! This being the case when I was invited to go to a Chinese bar by a business client I was very surprised and obviously a little sceptical! However it turns out karaoke in China is actually for the elite and powerful business men.

The karaoke Bars are like nothing i’ve ever seen before really posh and lush with lavish private rooms and personal waiters. Alcohol is served by the bottle and compared with the rest of china the prices are very expensive! Its well worth it  has a great sound system with any song you can think of available to sing in either Chinese or English.

Most of the Karaoke TV places are open around the clock, which makes it one of the most sociable and entertaining activates rivalling clubbing, lots of young and old people partake in Karaoke!

At first people are obviously going to feel shy and a bit uncomfortable but the best way to get over this is to get the alcohol flowing and just get into it! You can also order an array of delicious but quite pricey nibbles to snack on whilst you sing which are always a welcome treat. The average price of a private room depending on the size can be rented for as little as 150 Yuan per hour this sometimes comes with a complimentary bottle of spirit the rooms are all designated with there own waiter

who will assist with getting drinks and also the technology of the karaoke machine!

I spent an enjoyable hour and a half at the Karaoke bar and will be going back I would 100% recommend doing this activity it’s an experience not to be missed!!
