The height of Nuorilang Waterfall is 2365 meters. The Nuorilang Waterfall drops 20 meters and is 270 meters wide. It is the widest waterfall in China. Nuorilang in Tibetan means god whose image is tall and majestic. So Nuorilang Waterfall means grand, majestic waterfall.

The top of the waterfall is as flat as platform. It was said that there was only a platform, no waterfalls. One day, the monk Zaer Mude brought Beiye scriptures, iron plowshares and hand spinning wheel there. A beautiful Tibetan girl, Ruoyiguo, quickly learned how to use the hand spinning wheel. She put the spinning wheel on the platform to teach her sisters how to use it. So people called the platform as ‘spinning platform’. The leader, Luoza, thought the spinning wheel was a very dangerous and evil tool. So he kicked the girl and spinning wheel off the cliff. Just at the right moment when the girl fell down the cliff, a flood occurred and washed off Luoza and his servants. It was a punishment from the god for they killed that girl. Afterwards the platform became waterfall.

The sceneries of Nuorilang Waterfall change as season changes. In spring, the waterfall likes a child just wakes up. It is so vibrant. In summer, the waterfall has plenty of water, so the waterfall sounds very noisy. In autumn, plants turn gold and red. It looks very beautiful. In winter, the waterfall is frozen. It has a special kind of beauty.

Located in the Jiuzhai Valley Scene Spot of Sichuan province, the PearlBeach is about 0.5km far from the downstream of Huashi Sea.  The beach is full of sags and crests and overgrowing with various kinds of bushes.  Seen from far away, the twinkling droplets which splash from the calcified beach resemble pearls in a huge shell.   The most amazing thing is that the beach densely covers with yellow mosses.  However, the yellow is not creamy.  On the other hand, the feeling of walking on it is as comfortable as walking on a large piece of sponge.   A few years ago, visitors still could experience the magic beach and played on it.  At present, they only can appreciate it on the bank.  A bridge is constructed over the beach.  According to the fairy tale, a fairy fell in love with a Tibetan youth when she went across Jiuzhai Valley.  The youth gave her a string of pearls as present.  And the fairy also sent the youth an ax to show her love.  Their story was known by the god when the youth used his ax to cut into a mountain.  The god was so angry that he dispatched a solider to catch the fairy.  During their struggle, the pearl necklace was cut off; pearls scattered on the ground and transformed into the beautiful Pearl Beach.

When you enter the Jiuzhai Valley scenic spot, the first lake you will meet is the Reed Lake. The height of Reed Lake is 2140 meters. Its whole length is 2.2 kilometers. It is a half-swamp Lake. Since the lake is full of reeds, it is the ideal place for water birds to live. In the middle of the lake, there is a water band which divided the Reed Lake into two parts. As the color of the water band likes Chinese beautiful jade, the water band is called as Jade River. It was said that the water band was the belt of the mountain goddess, Yaoluo Semo. In spring, the blooming reed flowers attract many wild ducks and egrets. So the whole Reed Sea is full of vitality in spring. In summer, reeds all turn green, and the color of the lake also is green. You could hardly distinguish them in a distance. In autumn, the reeds turn gold. With the green lake, the whole scenery looks like an emerald in a golden plate. The strong contrasting colors will make a deep impression on you.

Go down along the mountain road, you will arrive at a large valley. In the valley, many trees and grasses grow and a small river quietly flows through it. The Mirror Sea is situated at the end of the river. The both sides of the valley are high mountains. When autumn comes, the colors of autumn dye the mountains. And the colorful mountains reflect on the river, it is really beautiful. The Mirror Sea is long and narrow. It is about 1 kilometer long. It was surrounded by forests. The opposite side of the sea is a cliff which resembles a huge stone screen. The right side of the sea is next to the Nuorilang Sea. The left side of the sea is connected to the valley. The reason why the sea is called as Mirror Sea is that it can reflect sceneries like mirror.

Mirror Sea has three wonders. The first wonder is mentioned above that it can reflect sceneries like mirror. In summer, when it rains, a white water band will appears on the river. Rain could not drop on the band and the water band just as still as mirror. This is the second wonder. The last wonder of Mirror Sea is that many giant trees as long as 20~30 meters float in the river, resembling monsters. That look very scary if you visit Mirror Sea at night.
