I’ve always been deeply attracted by the picturesque natural scenery in China, so when planning my China Tours, I firstly chose Guilin Tours. Experiencing the romantic atmosphere, I appreciated the charming wonders in Li River.

We boarded two pleasure boats at 8:30 a.m. for a spectacular five-hour cruise along the winding Li River. The boats travelled approximately 25 km down the 80 km river, and then turned back to dock at Yangdi, a small village at the foot of two mountains (said to resemble the horns of a sheep). Every boatload of tourists was met by hundreds of local peasants, all eager to profit by selling whatever they could to the foreigners. In the past, boats landed at Yangshuo, another small town, but because of the deteriorating condition of the road leading to Guilin, this return bus route had been discontinued.

Legend told us that every sailor drowned in the Li would transformed into a demon clutching at the boats which navigate the rapids. As the launch floated past villages, bamboo groves, and mist-shrouded crags, one had the sensation of being carried backwards in time through a traditional Chinese painting. Local river rafts are still physically towed upstream in convoys. A few are still towed by men and women in harness.

Along the way, famous rock formations came into view: Elephant Trunk Hill, just outside Guilin, suggests an elephant drinking from the river; Old Man Mountain resembles the head and neck of a man in profile; and the varicolored vines on the rock of Mural Hill, also known as Nine-horse Hill, resemble horses in different poses, one neighing, another bending to drink, a third lying down.

The boat passed through the Luogu Rapids, where the sound of the rushing water was something similar to gongs and drums. Further along loom Folded Brocade Hill, with its multicolored vegetation, and Crescent Moon Hill, whose summit contained a cave shaped like a half moon. The two hour bus ride back to Guilin from Yangdi provided a fleeting glimpse of typical Guangxi Country side.

Green hills, clear water, fantastic caves and spectacular rocks create a lovely and distinctly Chinese landscape, one instantly recognizable from  images on silk, porcelain and even the back of 20 Yuan RMB.

If you have time to travel around China, which kind of places would you like to visit? There are many beautiful places in China and the scenery is unforgettable. If you want to make your China Flights more memorable, here are the most beautiful resorts that you should not miss during your China Tours.

1.    Xishuangbanna

Xishuangbanna is a beautiful and fertile paradise which is located in the Yunnan Province in the southwestern part of China. It is famous for its mysterious tropical rainforests, wild animals and minority customs. As a result, it is often called “The Kingdom of Animals,” “The Kingdom of Plants,” and “the Gene Depository.”

The view that you must see is from the Aerial Garden and the One Tree Forest. The aerial garden has one aerial corridor which is as long as 500 hundred meters in the tropical forest. You can enjoy the amazing scenery of this paradise whilst walking “up in the air”.

The One Tree Forest consists of a big-leaf banyan tree with the height of 28 meters, making up the history of 900 years. It covers an area of 120 square meters and acts as both a fence and a green protective screen. The branches of the tree hang down into the earth, and it covers more area as it grows old. And so the scenery of this forest is something not to be missed by tourists coming to Xishuangbanna in the Yunnan Province.

2.    Stone Forest in Guilin

There is another famous spot in the Yunnan province with the name: Stone Forest. It covers an area of 400 square kilometers (96,000 acres) and it is divided into several scenic areas with names like Greater Stone Forest, Lesser Stone forest, Outer Stone Forest, Underground Stone Forest, Stone Forest Lake and Da Dieshui Fall.

There is a local saying in Guilin: ‘If you have visited Kunming without seeing the Stone Forest, you have wasted your time”. It is true that this magnificent and strange landscape makes it one of the most important attractions in the Yunnan Province.

3. Jiuzhai Vally

Located in the north of the Sichuan Province, Jiuzhai Vally is a famous spot which is dotted with more than 100 gorgeous lakes. In 1992, it became an UNESCO world heritage site.

The most beautiful of all the lakes is The Five-Flower Lake. As a shallow multi-coloured lake whose bottom is littered with fallen tree trunks, the lake becomes the signature of the Jiuzhai Valley. The water is so clear that you can see the trunks clearly. The water appears in different colors from yellowish to green, to blue. And it is amazing to come here and see the sun shining on the lake.

4.    Beihai Silver Beach

Beihai Silver Beach is located at the southeast side of Beihai City, about 10 kilometers from the urban area. It got its name from its fine, soft and silvery quartz sand which shines like silver under the sun. It is honored as the ‘Oriental Hawaii’ with a total area of 38 square kilometers. Overall, Beihai Silver Beach stretches 24 kilometers and varies in width from 30 to 300 meters.

Besides the blue sea, the silver beach and the sunshine, there is a Beihai Silver Beach Park with comes complete with all the tourist facilities. There are many activities that you can do here, such as playing beach volleyball, driving a beach kart, taking a boat out and diving under the sea. If you are looking for something more extreme, you can also try parachute jumping.

Of course, there are many other famous Chinese Resorts. If you want to know more about China, why not go to china travel for more information.

A 2-day Tour in Guilin

Guilin is a very popular resort for tourists. It is well known for its hills and waters which are said to be the finest under heaven. The first time I heard about Guilin is when I was a little girl. At that time this was a song named “I want to go to Guilin”. I can still remember how it sings “I want to go to Guilin. But, I have no money to go to Guilin when I have time and I have no time to go when I have money.” It sounds funny but realistic. Whatever, since then I have also got the dream of Travel to Guilin for its No.1 sceneries. Either for a lack of money or time, I haven’t realized my dream yet. However, I can make a schedule now for preparation. The following is my arrangement for 2-day Guilin Tours.

Day 1

The first place we will visit is Seven Stars Park which is 1.5 kilometers from the downtown of Guilin and at the east bank of Li River. Endowed with elegant mountains, clear water, caves and courts, architecture and cultural relics, this park is a real miniature of Guilin’s landscapes. The most famous sights are Flower Bridge, Camel Hill and Light of China Square. Built in Song dynasty, Flower Bridge is the oldest bridge in Guilin. Its four semi-circle arches and their inverted reflections in the water form four full moons, which is fascinating. Camel Hill got its name from its camel-like shape. In spring when peach blossoms are in full bloom, the camel seems to be dressed in a pink costume. It’s said to be one of the Ten Scenes of Guilin. Light of China Square features two pieces of artwork. One is stone carving mural which is 106 meters long and 5 meters high, demonstrating 5000-year Chinese civilization. The other is Shijibaoding which represents the well-being of the nation.

Next attraction we will visit is Elephant Trunk Hill. Located at the west bank of Li River, Elephant Trunk Hill is the symbol of Guilin. The hill is shaped like an elephant drinking water with its trunk. Then, we will come to Fubo Hill which is 2 kilometers from Elephant Trunk Hill. Fubo Hill is special in that it stands half in the Li River and half on land. Pearl-returning Cave and Thousand-Buddha Cave are worth visiting. The former contains stone inscriptions and stalactites; the later boasts of more than 200 statues of Buddha and mural paintings.

Day 2

On the second day we will travel along the Li River mainly by boating and walking. First we can take a bus from Guilin to Guanyan (Crown Cave). It is an underground cave covering an area of 6000 mu. In this cave you will view fantastic karst landforms such as stalactites, stalagmites and stone pillars. There are five kinds of sightseeing ways: walking, sightseeing slideway, elevator, light rail and boating. You can combine any of them to get a better view of the cave.

Then we can take a boat to Banbiandu and then walk to Yangdi Village which is a peaceful wonderland with attractive sceneries such as Shuilian Cave, Moonlight Island Holiday Resort. Walk to the south we can see Langshi Wonders in Langshi Village. Next stop is Xingping. It is said that the landscapes from Yangdi to Xingping are the best scenery of Li River. To go to Xingping, we can take a ferry from Langshi Village and then walk to Lengshuidu where we can see Nine Horses Painting Mountain. Then we will walk to Yellow Cloth Shoal to take a bamboo raft to go to Xingping. Xingping is an ancient village with a history of 1300 years. Everywhere are old streets, old residences and kind people. This is a good place to learn about the local culture. If you like eating fish, you can walk from Xingping to Fishing Village where Clinton once gave a speech. You have to climb a mountain for eating delicious fish.

So, this is the arrangement for a 2-day tour in Guilin. Although it doesn’t include many other wonderful sights in Guilin, it does cover the major mountains and waters in Guilin. If you long for visiting Guilin’s landscapes, don’t worry about time or money any more. If you can afford a 2-day tour, just choose one of Guilin Flights to go there!

Last Thursday, Scott, my oral English teacher, shared a passage about Career Break with us. That meant a lot to me, as I am always the one who dreams about having China Tours even world tours as long time as I want. Just as Susan, the author of this passage, said, it is a dream anyone with a passport fantasizes about once in a while: ditching everything to travel the world for a year, or at least long enough to forget about office life. But also as she suggested, acting out that fantasy tends to be reserved for retirees and recent college graduates. I am a graduate student who will graduate in 2013. Though there are so many obstacles as well, I want to plan about my long time trip. Maybe peers like you could join me or just take it a reference.

I would like to name this long journey as My Gap Month Tour in Southwest China, which includes destinations of Chengdu, Yunnan, Tibet and Guilin. Since these four destinations make up a round, I design this route in turn: Chengdu—Guilin—Yunnan—Tibet. Given the culture issue, I choose Chengdu, whose local people also like hot food, as my first destination. As the passage suggests, easing into your trip in a more familiar country is a way to reduce anxiety about leaving home. I think it applies to domestic trip well. Besides, Chengdu Flights are available easily.

First Stop—Chengdu—4 days or so to stay

As we all know, the most famous things in Chengdu covers the teahouse, panda and Sichuan opera and the most important is its various local flavors. I plan 2 days for its famous scenic spots and 2 days just for sitting in the teahouse and enjoying its delicious and its drama.

Teahouse: things in teahouse could be a mirror reflected local people’s leisurely life, which is famous in China. Especially after the Wenchuan Earthquake, Chengdu people realized that it is important to enjoy life for our vulnerable and short life. In addition, teahouse is an important social activity place. So it is a good place for me to meet some new friends.

Panda: Chengdu is the hometown of our country’s treasure—panda. I definitely will not miss the opportunity for watching these lovely and lively babies.

Sichuan Opera: Chengdu is also the home of opera. I want to watch the simon-pure Sichuan opera, especially suddenly turn hostile.

Food: my friends who live in Chengdu say that special snacks there are cheap and delicious. As I come from Hunan, where people love hot food, I wanna try its spicy and hot food very much.

Second Stop—Guilin—3days or more to stay

There come some words– Guilin’s scenery is the best in the world. As it has the most representative karst land feature, it is famous for fantastic hills, crystal-clear water, spectacular caves and picturesque rocks.

Li River: it has the largest scale and most wonderful of caves. I expect to quant on the water, just take it easy to get close to the nature.

Food: Guilin rice noodles are known for world light repasts, with its special taste but be known for. It is said that there are hundreds of shops selling Guilin Rice noodle with hundreds of kinds of taste. It is very highly expected for me.

Third Stop—Yunnan—a week or more days to stay

Yunnan is a mysterious province for me. I just know that Kunming is the city of Spring and Li-Jiang ancient town is very attractive for most people. Only visit there can I feel its fantasy culture and custom. Here my initial planning refers to Kunming, Dali and Li-Jiang.

Kunming: known as Spring City, it is a good chance for me to see various fresh flowers and taste various vegetables of different season. It should be a nice place for people to live in since it has the nicest climate.

Dali: it is a city with Bai Ethic Group live together. I want to see for myself its wind, flower, snow and moonshine and take enough time to experience the Bai people’s custom and culture.

Li-Jiang: Lijiang is inhabited by the Naxi minority people. It is popular with Lovely people, nice town and special music. What I expect most is wander in the Old Town of Li-Jiang, drunk to its scenery. Life could be quiet and romantic there that I can stay away from the real world.

Maybe I suddenly decide to stay for more days.

Fourth and last stop—Tibet—a week or more to stay

As most Chinese people dream about, Tibet is the must-to-go place for me in my whole life. It is a holy place for us ordinary ones. It is the mysterious virgin land. I want to take more time to stay there. I want to see local religious people who are going on a pilgrimage. I want to feel their reverent heart which could teach me a lot. I want to purify my mind and get peaceful thoroughly. Oh, there are so many things I want to do in Tibet. Perhaps it is better for me to take no specific arrangements there. Just follow my mind.

Plans above are rough. But it is outline of my gap month tour. Anyone who gets any ideas or suggestions can leave me a message below. Or we can both inquire China Southern Airlines right now.

My China Travels in Hangzhou

Because of my mother’s homecoming, I spent my summer holiday from China Tours in Hangzhou. I went sightseeing on Hangzhou. During my visit to Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, I met a lot of new friends; some of them are local Hangzhou people while the rests are from all over China. We spent a nice summer holiday together there beside the west lake. It is such a precious experience about china travel that I will not forget.

What impresses me most is the ease life that people lead in Hangzhou. Even though Hangzhou is a modern city nowadays, it is still lead special life of its own.

Early in the morning, around six o’clock, lots of people come out for their morning exercises beside the West Lake, Performing a sword-dance, kicking the shuttlecocks, or practicing tai chi. Most of them are around the age of sixty. They enjoy the scenery of West Lake early in the morning. West Lake located in Hangzhou, capital of east China’s Zhejiang Province is one of the most charming lakes in China. The beautiful scenery of West Lake makes Hangzhou well-known and Hangzhou makes west lake more popular all over the world. In a word, West Lake is a complement to Hangzhou.

West Lake covers an area of 5.6 square kilometers and has a perimeter of 15 kilometers. It is embraced by green hills on three sides. The lake has five parts. And it is famous for its ten sights. Such as Melting Snow at Broken Bridge, Spring Dawn at Sudi Causeway, Sunset Glow over Leifeng Hill, Lotus in the Breeze at Crooked Courtyard, Autumn Moon on Calm Lake, Listening to Orioles Singing in the Willows, Viewing Fish at Flowers Harbor etc. There is no exaggeration to say that the beauty of West Lake never changes due to the alternation of the seasons.

If you want to get to the island of the lake, you are advised to take a boat. But if you just want to enjoy the scenery around the lake, you’d better choose to visit by bike for the perimeter of the lake is around 15 kilometers. The bikes in Hangzhou are quite special. Almost all the bikes seem the same in this city. In fact, they are all rent from a “bike station”. The only thing you need to do is to get a Z Card. With this card, you can choose bike from one station in Hangzhou and return it to the nearest station when you do not need it. In order to get a Z Card, you should hand in 300 yuan and offer your effective certificate. If you return the bike in an hour, it is free. (1yuan per hour for less than 2 hours and 3yuan per hour for 120 to 180 minutes, in all, it is much cheaper and convenient to travel by bike.)

During our visit to West Lake, we are encouraged to have a taste of the chrysanthemum tea of Hangzhou. From its name we can see that it’s a kind of tea, it leaves a deep impression on me because of its sweet aftertaste. What is more, the chrysanthemum is a kind of medicine in China. It is said that it can prevent sore throat and make people feel more alert. And it has the function to treat the eyes and clear the liver. In others, Chinese people regard it as a way of living to drink tea for they enjoy the feeling of ease when they make and drink tea.

Hope you enjoy your Hangzhou vacation, too. By the way, Hangzhou enjoys large flows of visitors all the year round. So it is your best choice to book China Hotels beforehand. Enjoy your time in this city.

Are you tired of the busy life, noisy and congested city, maybe it’s the time to relax yourself with your family. China Tours are good choices. It’s quite different from the western country. As we know, Beijing tours, Shanghai Tours are the most famous. But When I get there, I feel it’s familiar to some big city in the world. Although the Forbidden City, the Great Wall is full of Beijing culture, you can also see the tall buildings, Malls, and lots of other modern architecture.

So can we just found a place that all the traditional things? Finally, I found this place –Wuzhen. Wuzhen is one of the four famous towns in Jiangnan, a richly histories town with 6,000 years. Talking about Hangzhou travel, people often know the West Lake. But I promise you that you will lose yourself in Wuzhen.
In Wuzhen, everything keeps up an old customs. Walking on the slabstone-paved street, all housed in wooden structures of brown. Rivers and creeks spanned with stone bridges in various designs flow through the town, and the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal passes by. I feel it’s just like a dream when I first came here.

You can imagine that: When you get up early in the morning, the sun light gets in through the windows, the air was perfumed with the delicate smell of woods. And when you open the window you can see the river flowing down your house, the women washing their clothes by the shore. If you go there in a good time, there’re little people in the town, you can walk around on your own, the air was fresh and wet, with a little fog, you will see many ancient stone bridges, local people said that every bridge has its own story, have a seat and listen to the story, time passed so fast at this time. In the night, you can taste some traditional food. People here are very kind and passionately, they often broke out their best food for the guest. After dinner, all things quiet down. Staying in your room, looking out of the window, Darkness was gathering, the light which came from street lamps was winking just like starlight. You may heard the sound that the children are having a frolic before bedtime, or some traditional Chinese music, then you can go to bed with peace of mind.

That’s what I feel during my Wuzhen trip. And of course, there has many good attractions in Wuzhen, just like Former Residence of Mao Dun (he is a famous writer in China); Fanglu Pavilion (Pavilion of Visits to Lu); Hongyuantai dye-works. This is good, but I prefer more to the environment here, the peaceful, comfort town that can give you a relaxed life you never experienced in the big city.

In this trip, I bought some  for my family. I feel it’s very beautiful, a local people told me it’s said that this kind of cloth was created by a farmer named Gehong for his wife. The blueprint cloth was widely used in Jiangnan, the crafts are all from the folk, the design fill with the rich traditional customs, the theme include nothing else but flowers and plants vegetation, is nearby the farmhouse, the boundary ridge between fields. But just these two kinds of colors can make you feel reality and beauty.
I’m very happy about this Wuzhen trip, I often told this story to my friends that I enjoyed an unforgettable experience. That’s what I want to see in China Tours, and hope you can go there once with your friends. Its worth to visit, trust me~!
