Best Choice for Tour Vacations in China

Foreign travelers may have more interest in china travel, for here they can enjoy the historical sites, the scenery, and more. However, for most new comers, they have no idea where to start when  making  their itinerary, and so I will share some of my experience with you, and hopefully it will help you when you are booking your China Tours.

The itinerary which I recommend to you is from  Beijing to Pingyao to Datong to Taiyuan; it is featured by its cultural heritages. Pingyao, Datong and Taiyuan are cultural cities in Shanxi Province, which is located in the west of China. You can either fly there or take a train, it is up to you…

First stop: Beijing

It is well-known that Beijing is the capital of China, and a famous tourism city. A lot of travelcompanies have attracted millions of tourists  all around the world. However, the most popular travel destinations in China are no longer the Great Wall, the Temple of Heaven, the Summer Palace and the Forbidden City. Now people want to explore the ancient Hutongs and Beijing is famous for its Hutong Cultural. It is said that there are more than one thousand of Hutongs in Beijing, and each of them has their own names, some are named by Chinese heroes’ name, some are named by local people, in my point of view, it is more interesting to travel to these Hutongs than going shopping. Yesterday, I visited one of the famous Hutongs in Beijing, which is called Houhai, and I am sure you have heard about it. Here, you can appreciate the peaceful Beijing Hutong culture, but also enjoy yourselves in the unique bars.

Second stop: Shanxi Province

Shanxi is located in the west of China, and it only takes six hours to get there if you are on your journey by train, and if you go there by flights, it will be more convenient and faster.

Datong is the second largest city in Shanxi, and is known by the locals as the coal capital for a good reason. Datong coal is everywhere: tons of it powering the whole of Shanxi and other cities beyond, piles of it chugging along the roads around town in Soviet style off-blue trucks, smears of it discovered on a face-wiped handkerchief. The city is one of China’s most polluted and not only asthma sufferers should think twice before spending any amount of time in the city. Industrial and economic development has bounded in great leaps since the communists came to power in 1950, and huge swathes of the city have been altered into concrete. Despite all this travelers still have a few huge incentives to visit Datong, incentives that are all related to the town’s ancient past.

Pingyao is one of the world cultural heritages, and is well-known as the ancient city. Pingyao ancient city is a typical country of rural countries in North China—simple and steeped in ancient tradition. What’s different is that this country is linked firmly to a certain prosperous time in Chinese history. It played an important role in the economic development of Shanxi during Ming and Qing Dynasties. Popular local staple food in Pingyao is mainly wheaten products like noodles and clay over rolls.

Taiyuan is the capital city of Shanxi Province. Located in the center of the province, it is also the political, economic and cultural center of Shanxi.Taiyuan is a city bounded on three sides by mountains. It has a long history and in ancient times was an important military town. At present, Taiyuan is one of China’s heavy industrial cities and account for more than half the national coal mining output.

After all I have mentioned above, are you going to join us and find more funs here? Act now and book a China Flights.

A visit to the Lihengtang Pearl Market can be part of your China Tours! Take advantage of this offer as you’ll find your China travel a much more exhilarating experience.  However, before you visit the pearl market you’ll be able to grab the opportunity to visit the Qiuyiyuan Chinese restaurant.  The Qiuyiyuan Chinese restaurant is a traditional Chinese restaurant with traditional Chinese food and is included in your tour package with China Tours.  Visitors walk into the restaurant and you are kindly greeted by the wonderful waiting staff.  You don’t need to order your food as the food is ready and prepared for you for when you sit down.

As you sit down at the restaurant table you’ll find that the table has a glass top which is called a turn table.  The food sits on top of the turn table and the turn table spins round (hence, why it’s called a “turntable”) so that each person sat round the round table can help there selves to the dishes available which are placed on top of the turntable by the waitress.  You are given a plate, a bowl and chopsticks to eat with.

Chinese Cuisine

The dishes range from boiled rice, sliced crispy potato, egg and tomato, chicken and vegetable dishes, beef and vegetable dishes, a carrot dish and many more vegetarian dishes.  Remember though before you book your tour please let the tour operator aware of any dietary requirements so that this can be arranged for you.  Drinks on offer are fizzy drinks such as coke, lemonade and hot beverages such as Green Tea.  For dessert you have a choice of melon or a coffee but the coffee you got to buy your own from the mini bar inside the restaurant.

Having spent time with your fellow tour group at the restaurant you will then be guided to the Lihentang Pearl Market.  Outside the front entrance of the Pearl Market there is a huge tank filled with water.  Inside the tank contains large Oysters.  The group is asked to surround the tank of water and a tour guide representing the company discusses with the group about how pearls are made.   The tour guide asked a former colleague of mine within the group to choose which Oyster they would like the Oyster sample to come from.  She chose an Oyster and the tour guide picked out the Oyster from the tank.  When she picked out the Oyster she wrenched open the shell  of the Oyster and showed everyone the oyster inside the shell.

Pearl Oyster

The Oyster was massive and underneath this Oyster was a set of pearls.  She picked out the pearls and handed them over to everyone in the group to get a feel of what real pearls are.  After this small exhibition the tour guide took everyone up stairs to the show room.  Here you will find many pearls all manufactured into necklaces, bracelets, wrings.  The jewellery is made into all sorts of decorative works of art and is all different styles and colours.  You’re allowed to purchase many items from the pearl market.  They also sell hand, face cream and foot cream.  They make really great gifts for thanks giving, Christmas, New Year and as a birthday present.  They also sell other decorative pieces of work but it’s just a case of going a long and having a look.

After wondering around the pearl market you have the opportunity to go back downs stairs and enjoy a green tea or buy a coffee.  There are many pearl markets in Beijing I suggest doing some research as the pearl market I suggested is only available if you go with China Tours.  However, you’re allowed to find your own means of transport and there are many other pearl markets such as Beijing Hongqiao Market.  Maybe you can plough through Beijing Tours there’s plenty of opportunities there.

There goes the saying that, “East or west, Guilin landscape is best.” Better yet, “Yangshuo landscape is the best in Guilin.” Scenery in Guilin is famous for its karst topography in the world. How can you miss the Guilin Tours in your china travel? This time I want to provide several routes for your 24hour travel in Guilin.

One day tour in Guilin City

10:00: Fubo Hill Park – Famous for wonderful eddy scenery: this park integrates hills, water, caves, stones, kiosk, garden and cultural relics together.

11:00: Folded Brocade Hill – The nice place to overlook Guilin panorama: there rocks layer transverse, colors and green cross, just like various colors layering.

Lunchtime: You can order a bowl of Guilin Rice Noodles, one of the most famous flavors.

14:00: Seven-star Park – The largest comprehensive park in Guilin: it has relief groups which concentrate Chinese 5000 years history and culture, called Huaxiazhiguang and the oldest arched stone bridge. Huaqiaohongying (flowered bridge and red shadow) and Hushanchixia (Hu Mount with rays of the sun) are another two of the top 8 ancient scenic spots in Guilin. Besides, you can visit Camel Mountain and the place where Bill Clinton, once the U.S. president, gave his speech. Seven-star Cave and Reed Flute Cave are the two famous caves in China and they were famous tour caves in ancient China. If you have great interest in caves, both of them can not be missed or you can visit Seven-star Cave when you travel to the Seven-star Park or go to Reed Flute Cave without visiting Seven-star Cave.

15:30: Reed Flute Cave – The nature of art palace: the cave are filled with dainty and exquisite stalactites. And the most famous TV series—Journey to the West had gotten some views in the crystal palace in the cave.

Dinnertime: Find a high class restaurant or try some other Guilin snacks. If the weather is good you can wander along Lijiang River by bike, enjoying its amazing and cozy night beauty!

One day Tour with Li River Scenery

You can join a touring party owning this one day package. Generally the tour bus will bring you to Mopan Mount Dock and there you can get on board.

09:30: You will start up for your 4 hours long trip along Li River: pay attention to the notice from guide on the ship. There will be a guide who will tell you the exact point to watch amazing scenery along the river.

Nine horses pictured on the mount by nature, ships sails on the top of green hills, fisherman leisure fishing, farmers cultivating and even shepherd singing etc. All these things will unfold in front of you during your river trip. Translated from Chinese ancient poets, it can be described as “Boat floats on the river while people tour in the picture.”

14:00: Arrive at Yangshuo and depart the ship: Yangshuo West Street is filled with western culture. Restaruants and arts & crafts shops have decorations Chinese and Western styles combined. Locals sell fruit along the street and most can speak fluent English. There you may get less language barriers.
