If you are tired of the bustle of Shanghai tours, why not come to Hangzhou? It only spends you about an hour from Shanghai to Hangzhou. You may have appreciated the antique beauty of Xi’an tours but want the authentic touch to do something that you have struggled to do.Then, I fully recommend the “Tea Culture Tour”.

Through the “Tea Culture Tour”, you will learn the history and the story behind why tea is pivotal in Chinese culture. Believe me, the tour feels like you are watching a holiday TV programme, that’s how good it was!

As the only tea museum in China, it display tea’s history, tea events, tea sets and tea customs in China. It is an excellent insight to many origins of tea, where you will have an interesting cultural experience. The tea museum is not exactly a museum, per se. Instead, it encompasses actively-farmed tea plantations and introduces visitors to the broad spectrum of tea-growing and tea-making.

Dragon Well Tea Plantation

Covering an area of 132 acres, the Dragon Well Tea Plantation in Dragon Well Village of Hangzhou, faces the West Lake to the west and Qiantang River to the south. Dragon Well Village is a picturesque wonderland surrounded by mountains with a large area of tea trees. At the hilltop, you will have an overview of the West Lake.

With tea pavilions scattering here and there in the tea mountains, the Dragon Well Tea Plantation is really a comfortable place for relaxing and enjoying tea among the lush tea trees. Here you can pick tea leaves under the instruction of locals. At a teahouse,  you will try some emperors tea and the quick science experiment in explaining the benefits of drinking green tea!

At noon, you can have lunch at a tea farmer’s restaurant where chicken are amazing. Plus, the ‘real’ bamboo shoots also deserve to have a try.

If you’re keen on going to garden centers for a cup of tea, this is definitely the best place in Hangzhou. Book Hangzhou Tours now and by the way now is the best season to admire summer lotuses of the West Lake.

Voted the happiest city in China by Oriental Outlook Magazine several years running, Hangzhou is China’s leisure capital. Everyone knows that Hangzhou is an earthly heaven, but fewer people notice its beauty in the night. The West lake, the hottest landmark of Hangzhou is certainly not to be missed. Especially in such hot summer days, having a cool night tour around the West lake is definitely a wise choice!

The night West Lake returns to her innocence from the day’s pomp and shows her peace, elegance and romance. To make a night tour around the West lake, you can choose public bicycles as well as taking a boat or walking. It is very popular to take a bicycle tour around the lake. You can see parents riding with their children or a couple riding together. It’s so sweet and romantic! No matter you are traveling alone or with your friends or families, riding will give you much freedom and convenience to enjoy a casual tour and stop at any attraction that interests you.

There are three places most visited by foreign tourists in Hangzhou—bars on Nanshan Road, the Musical Fountain and the Impression West Lake Show. Nanshan Road bristles with all kinds of night bars and tea bars with different charms. Strolling on the road is like wandering in an Europe city. The breathtaking musical fountain looks like a girl dancing ballet in a colorful dress and it attracts many visitors from home and abroad. Staged entirely upon the lake itself, the Impression West Lake Show, directed by Zhang Yimou (who directed the opening ceremony of 2008 Olympic Games), is a grand open-air show of light, music, dance and theatrics in the night. West Lake depicted its intoxicating beauty by its natural scenery as well as its romantic legends which the show is the very media that brings the audience into the mixed wonders of West Lake’s natural and cultural beauties.

Take your package and have a romantic Hangzhou tour! Enjoy the beauty of the West Lake in moonlight!

It is said that the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. If you see Hangzhou as a female, you will definitely head over heels for her! The local dishes here are noted for their elaborate preparation, sophisticated cooking and refreshing taste. There are a lot, but I’ll just name a few. Just the ones I tried and found most sumptuous!

1. Dongpo Pork- named after a famous poet who was also appointed Governor of Hangzhou twice! At one time, the people were so happy, they presented him many gifts such as pigs and wine. Being humble of heart, Dongpo ordered his men to slaughter the pigs and cook them in the wine to give to the people. It turned out to be most tempting! In gratitude, the people favorably called it Dongpo pork! It is limp, soft and easily melted in the tongue. It was also quite cheap for such a large portion!

2. Beggar’s Chicken- The most famous of all the Hangzhou dishes. It got its name from a story when an emperor once took a ride out in the country and was able to smell something delicious. He ordered his men to trace the scent and found an old beggar roasting a chicken. I guess we have to pay tribute to the beggar for such a mouth-watering delicacy! It is stuffed with fillet, onion, ginger and other spices. Yum-yum!

3. Sweet and Sour Carp- This dish is definitely to die for. Because if you don’t be careful, you just might have a needle-like fish bone stuck in your throat! But this is the fun without the danger! The meat is so tender and the sauce that it’s cooked in is spicy! It’ll leave you mouth watering! Ha ha ha!

One of the most important parts of traveling is tasting the delicacies. Many local specialties will be sure to make your visit a cultural experience. If you want to taste authentic flavor of Hangzhou dishes why not go? Book Hangzhou Tours now and taste delicious local dishes.

What is the aim of a travel? Some people say that they travel to escape, not from a country but from some memory. I want to say the best travel is going to an unfamiliar city and finding something that touches me. Hangzhou is exactly such a city that worths wasting time there. Its history, water and peace and many other unique things all deserve our paying a visit.

Hangzhou has a long history as mankind originally established a civilization over 4700 years ago. Hangzhou is one of the seven ancient capitals of China. It was the capital of the Wuyue Kingdom from 907 to 978 during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms Period. After about 60 years in 1132, Hangzhou was chosen as the new capital of the Southern Song dynasty.

What’s more, two Chinese most famous poets Bai Juyi and Su Shi are appointed governors of Hangzhou. They used their leisure time to enjoy the beauty of Hangzhou, leaving many famous poems for their descendants. Through construction, West Lake was made a beautiful landmark. Walking in the city and imaging our ancestors once walked on the same path, it impresses me a lot ,especially on a rainy afternoon.

To enjoy its history, I chose Longmen Old Town which is said to be the hometown of Sun Quan, a Chinese emperor. There are extremely rare and most completely preserved ancient buildings of Ming and Qing dynasties in the town. What an unforgettable experience to feel the unique folk custom of Jiangnan, taste the strong sun culture which has developed thousands of years, and enjoy the beautiful natural scenery of Longmen mountain.

Wuzhen is a sacred land where heart can reach easily. In Wuzhen, you can feel its beautiful scenery within arms reach. The weather there is not always well. In sunny days, Wuzhen is bright, while in cloudy days, it’s very peaceful that can makes people calm down and let heart become pure. Sunshine may not reaches every corner, however, the well-arranged distribution of light and shadow makes Wuzhen look very solid and real.

Wuzhen is prosperous since the ancient times. During thousand years, the residents live beside the river and people are all very nice. Wuzhen is the model of southern Chinese riverside town with bridges, flowing water, and beautiful house, at the same time wuzhen has buildings built beside rivers that other villages don’t have— Shuige. Because of this, Wuzhen is also called the last riverside residence in China.

Wuzhen is the typical southern Chinese riverside town which has a long history.  The scenery in this water town is saved completely, and remains the structure of whole southern Chinese riverside town. Wuzhen has deep atmosphere of folk customs, which is a museum that can reflects the lives of southern Chinese riverside town.

When Tom Cruise jumps and shuttles between white walls and black tiles, and runs quickly through the ceilinged corridors, he shows this beautiful town in Jiashan county of Zhejiang province with Mission: Impossible III to the world. Overlooking the river, white walls and ink roofs, boat shadow shimmering in the mist, all of this is just as a light color painting; Walking into the town, roofs of the corridor are old, alleys are deep, which we seem enter a long history; The essence of Xitang is in the morning and evening, you can look for an inn facing the water, open the window, or sit on a chair in the court by water brew a cup of tea, and enjoy slow time in the quiet town.

Xitang wins many praises from tourists because of its three characteristics as “many bridges, many lanes and many corridors”, during which, the most attractive is corridor shed built along the river.  Corridor shed is the unique architecture. This more than 1300 m long corridor shed has been preserved as a casual tour to appreciate the ancient buildings for contemporary people.

Xitang is a very plain town, all in it are simple and pure. It doesn’t have the prosperity like Zhouzhuang, it doesn’t have the rich situation like Nanxun, it also doesn’t have the deep business atmosphere, but Xitang has its unique charm which makes tourists be enchanted.

This is a city with a long history; this is a picturesque city; this is a city of the reputation “an earthly paradise”. Because of the West Lake, it is a paradise on the earth. This is Hangzhou!

Hangzhou is located in the north end of southeast China. The proverb “Heaven is above the sky while Hangzhou is down here” well expresses people’s sincere appreciation to this ancient city. Let us start with Hangzhou tour now!

In the south region of Long River, different cities still vary a lot, though sharing the same gentleness. If take Suzhou in comparison to Hangzhou, I would not judge, but Suzhou is more delicate while Hangzhou is more natural. So in Suzhou, you find your eyes filled with fantastic views, while in Hangzhou, you are in the view. I prefer Hangzhou, for its freedom.

In every travel journal, the cuisine photos have always been the most appealing part, recalling the fantastic bites of exotic specialties. Well before modern age, the reputation of fresh shrinks, freshwater fish and lotus roots has been spreading all over the country. What’s unique about Hangbang cuisine is far more than the look, smell and taste, but the classical allusions behind the food itself.

So you can’t miss Hangzhou

When travelling to Beijing you are bound to notice the large amount of smog in the air, compared to western cities. This is because of the high volumes of pollution emitted.

4) Sharing is caring.

When you go to a restaurant in Beijing expect to order a variety of dishes that will be placed in the centre of the table, often on a Lazy Susan. This is because Chinese people see dining as a social pastime to enjoy with friends and family. Circular tables are often used as it allows you to communicate to every guest. Many of the dishes are shared between the entire group. This is great for tourists as it allows you to try a bit of everything.

5) Mr. Wang, Mrs. Wang…

According to the Beijing official census in 2006, ‘Wang’ is the most commonly used surname in the city. In fact, 10.35% of the Beijing population has this surname. Therefore do not just assume Mr. Wang and Mrs. Wang are married, or any relation at all.
