Spring has come to Beijing and every tree and every single flower has started is blooming. Birds have begun to sing and teenage hearts are throbbing. Even though my sweetheart does not live in China, the entire atmosphere around me is so romantic and inspiring, so I feel like dreaming of our future evening meals and long strolls under the moon. But where will I take him, when he decides to travel to Beijing? Let’s find out more about China travel and the most romantic places in the capital.

Firstly, I will take my medvezhonok (a Russian sweet word for a boy) to the Summer Palace, as it is the most romantic place here. Today, it is opened to everybody as a beautiful park with a complex of colourful ancient buildings surrounded by a lake, yet originally it was a royal garden and a temporary residence of Qing Dynasty emperors. The first reference to this palace is dated from year 1750 B.C. This place charms everyone who visits it. In the park you will find many benches, where old ladies and gentlemen are having a rest, and where young couples, not daring to kiss, are staring at each other with most fiery gazes. There we will have a walk along the lake banks, talking, laughing and enjoying ourselves. You should do it too, as this place just breathes a romantic atmosphere.

Sometimes my medvezhonok acts like a child, so, I will take him to Beijing Happy Valley (Chinese Disneyland) to act like children together! This fabulous place is composed of six themed areas including Firth Forest, Atlantis, Ant Kingdom, Aegean See, Lost Maya and Shangri-La. All the roller coasters there are designed to give you a feeling of freedom, some adrenalin and fuzzy hair.If you get tired of screaming, jumping, walking, running at all these fabulous side-shows, there is a shopping mall with a few cosy cafes inside, where you will be able to eat something, have a rest and comb your hair.

In the evening I would like to go to Shichahai lake, where we will take a boat, which is a replica of an old Chinese Traditional ark dating to the Song Dynasty 800 years ago. A boatman in a yellow vest and bamboo hat will show us the most beautiful places and a Chinese lady will play the woodwind instrument and sing for us. By the way, this is the best moment to propose.

There are many more wonderful attractions, which can become memorable places for lovers. I hope my sweetheart will take an Air China plane and come here soon. I also hope you were inspired by my story and that you will bring your girlfriend or boyfriend to Beijing to explore romantic places together.
