The Victoria Harbour is the first harbour in China and the third in the world. Rank after to American’s San Francisco and Brazilian’s Rio de Janeiro. The Victoria Harbour is a natural landform harbor situated between Hong Kong Island and the Kowloon Peninsula. The name of the harbour comes from the queen’s name of British. People can get in or out anytime during a year.

Best Time to Visit Victoria Harbour

The best time to visit Hong Kong is from the October to the March next year (the autumn and the winter). Hong Kong is subtropical climate. The average temperature is about 22.8℃ during the year. The climate influenced by monsoon and has clear seasons. Visitors can put on coat or sweater when visit here. The umbrella also needed because of it is very hot in the summer, sometimes even have heavy rains. The temperature is moderate in autumn and the shirts, sweater and little coat are appropriate. All the commodities are on sale in this season and Hong Kong becomes the “shopping paradise.” People who love shopping will have a good time here.

Visitors should especially notes from the end of May to the middle of September is the typhoon season. In the general condition, people should stay at home in the 3 grade typhoon and all the shopping malls and banks will closed door in the 8 grade typhoon. Victoria Harbour Tickets

The Victoria Harbour is free of charge and the Avenue of Stars besides the harbour. You can play there for free. Along the Avenue of Stars will arrive at the Golden Bauhinia Square by ferryboat and it will charge you 2.2 Hong Kong Dollar. There is a special boat for visitors, but a little expensive. It is almost same with ferryboat.

How to Get to Victoria Harbour

By the railway tunnel in seabed:

The first line: Quanwan Line (from the Admiralty Station of Bogang Island to the Tsim Sha Tsui Station of Jiulong)

The second Line: Jiangjun Ao Line (from the Quarry Bay Station of Bogang Islan to the Chaguo Ridge of Jiulong)

The third Line: Dongyong Line and Airport Express Line (the two lines use the same tunnel and from the Hong Kong Station of Bogang Island to the Jiulong Station of Jiulong)

By ferryboat:

The Star Ferry Line include: Zhonghuan ßà Tsim Sha Tsui, Zhonghuan ßà Hongkan, Wanzai ßà Wanzai air line.

The new ferry (in the Victoric Harbour): Zhonghuan ßà Changzhou, Zhonghuan ßà Pingzhou, Beijiao ßà Hongkan, Beijiao ßà Jiulong City airline

Little ferry of Gangjiu has three lines to serve the Nanya Island. Two of the three lines from the Center of Hong Kong: Zhonghuan ßà Nanya Island (Rongshu Wan), Zhonghuan ßà Nanya Island (Sok Kwu Wan) line.
