The cultural relic of Three Drops of Water is at the foot of Mount Moon. The site of the relic stretches along the southwest side of the Mountain, and covers an area of 1 square kilometers. The relic had been hidden in earth for a long time and was not discovered by local residents until 1984 when they were laying the foundations to build a new school there. The builders were surprised when a terracotta jar and a zax appeared under their shovels. They dug on and found out that in the 30-cm-thick ash layer below the ground surface there was a large amount of pottery shards. The news got out and many archaeologists came to have a look. They soon defined the site and put it in the Neolithic Stone Age. It was named “Three Drops of Water” after the village where it is. Now the Three Drops of Water Cultural Relic has been listed as county-level-class heritage.

Another cultural relic, the White City Cultural Relic, is not far from Three Drops of Water. It is to the east of a highway that runs past Mount Moon. It is the remains of an ancient city built in 1106 in the Song Dynasty. At that time the city was named “the City of Peace”. Compared to Three Drops of Water, the White City Cultural Relic is much larger in size, covering an area of a total of 6.4 square kilometers.
