Mount Moon is a perfect place for mountain-climbing. The Hole in Mount Moon, the Horn-like Hill, the Rock Hill, the Cat Emerging Hill, and the Butterfly Spring compose a classical route for mountain-climbing. The Hole in Mount Moon is a 20-meter-high and 30-meter-long natural arch bridge. Many good climbers have visited there. The Best Time to Visit Mount Moon
The weather in the Yangshuo County is relatively stable throughout the year, so does the scenery there. Because it rains a lot in spring, you may not want to visit Mount Moon in March, April and May. Besides mountain-climbing can be very dangerous when it rains. Summer is not an ideal season to visit Mount Moon either because it can grow very hot during the day. So it is best to schedule your trip for autumn. But if you just want to stop by Mount Moon when you visit other tourist spots in the Yangshuo County, then summer is a better choice.

How to get to Mount Moon
Mount Moon is only 8 kilometers away from the Yangshuo Township. You can choose one of the following options to reach there:
- By motor-tricycle
Fare: RMB 4 per person (This is the cheapest way to reach Mount Moon)
- By taxi (You can find a taxi anywhere in the Yangshuo Township)
- By bicycle
Fare: RMB 10~40 for one bike one day (The price changes with the tourist seasons. It is the best way to enjoy the beautiful landscape of Mount Moon. Ride along the 321 National Highway, and it will take you one hour to reach the mountain. )
Notice: If you stay in a hotel in Guilin, you need to take a tourist bus to reach the Yangshuo Township first. There is a tourist bus leaving for Yangshuo at Guilin Bus Station every 15 minutes.
