Zhiyun Cave is 6 kilometers to the northwest of Stone Forest, in a huge stone mountain alongside the eastern side of Anshi highway. The cave is 400 meters long, 3 to 15 meters wide and 5 to 30 meters high, taking a shape of “limb”. The two periods of caves are connected into one by a low and narrow door. There are stalactites, stalagmites, stalagnates in the cave with different shapes and colors. After Ming Dynasty, Zhiyun Cave is called “magical view”, stands first at the list of the eight views of Stone Forest with the title “fairyland of stone cave”. From the entrance to the exit, there are over 20 scenic sites in all.

Little Zhiyun Cave is also called Dieyun Cliff, across the way of Zhuyun Cave, which is hundreds meters away from Zhiyun Cave. It was opened to the public on October 1st in 1998. The cave is 200 meters long, 30 meters high and 8 meters wide. It is famous for massing stalactites and stalagmites. The cave is twisted and cliffy, in which 23 scenic sites have been named.

All the views in the cave process their own features. The conditions of illumination, ventilation and safety are good and the transportation is convenient. It will take nearly 4 hours to finish the sightseeing of the three caves. You can buy drinks, foods and souvenirs at the small stores at the cave entrance.

In the cave, it is warm in winter and cool in summer and the range of temperature is mild, but it is really humid here. It is recommended that travelers visit here first and then visit the Stone Forest when there are fewer people. Travelers had better put on flat shoes and do not need to take lighting facilities or other facilities for exploration.
