The river banks surrounding the Waterfall are all huge flat rocks covered with loess. It has no rail on the bank, thus, be careful not to come to close to the edge. Bringing food and water on your own is recommended given to the long walks to the waterfall.

How to get to Yellow River Hukou Waterfall
From Yichuan County: 8 Yuan. The Waterfall is located 48km away from Yichuan County. It has more buses to the Waterfall than the surrounding places. The road condition is not very good for it mostly mountain side roads.
Form Yan An: 26 Yuan. Depart at 7:30 and arrive at noon
From Xi An: Xi An—Hukou Bus. 6:30 depart from Xi An; 15:00 depart from Hukou
