The National Swimming Center is also called the Water Cube, which is in the Beijing Olympic Park. It is the main swimming pool for the 2008 Summer Olympics and has become one of the famous landmarks in Beijing. The design plan of using water molecules was the fruitful result of global designing competition. The construction started on Dec. 24th , 2004 and ended on Jan. 28th , 2008. The Water Cube and the Bird’s Nest are on opposite sides of the northern road of Beijing. The location of them is perfect because they are in keeping with the historical and cultural atmosphere of Beijing.

How to get to Water Cube

By Bus:

Take Bus 839,or Bus 510 and get off at Beichenxiqiaobei stop:

Take Yuntong Bus 113 or Buses 407, 386, 656, 836 Branch, 983 (Air-Conditioned), 753, 740, 939, 660 or 689 and get off at Beichenqiaoxi stop.

Take Buses 328,379,419,425,484,518,628,751,836,851,913,949,963 or Yuntong Bus 110 and get off at Walinankou stop.
