The Wild Goose Tower is a famous scenic spot in Xi An. It was built in AD 652 for master Xuanzang to store Buddhist Scriptures. The seven-floor tower has become a symbol of Xi An. You must pay a visit to the Wild Goose Tower if you travel to Xi An.
Best Seasons to Visit the Wild Goose Tower
It is advisable to visit the tower in spring or autumn because the weather then is relatively mild. You might get sunstroke if you travel around in Xi An in summer because it is very hot then. And in winter there is quiet cold. Spring is the peak tourist season all the year round.

Usually the visit start from the Mercy Temple, then reach the Wild Goose Tower, and climb onto the top floor of it, where you can enjoy the overview of the music fountains on the Northern Square.
The Wild Goose Tower Ticket
Ticket for the Mercy Temple: RMB 50 per person
(Free of charge for the retired, the disabled, the enlisted men and the seniors above 70 years old. Students can get a 30 Yuan ticket with student’s certifications.)
Ticket for entering the Wild Goose Tower: RMB 30 per person
Notice: Since the Wild Goose Tower is seated inside the Mercy Temple, you have to enter the temple first. If you want to see the inside of the Wild Goose Tower, you need to buy an extra 30 Yuan ticket.
