Best Seasons to visit the Ancient City of Lijiang

Remember to keep the receipt because it will be checked every time you visit a scenic spot inside the ancient city. The protection fee paid by tourists composes the majority of the income of the Ancient City of Lijiang. It is used to preserve and renovate the historical and cultural relics in the ancient city. In addition, local tourist administration will randomly select 20 tourists who have paid the protection fee by computer and give each one of them 200 thousands Yuan award money. The lottery is held on January the 6th and July the 6th every year.
How to get to the Ancient City of Lijiang
To visit the Ancient City of Lijiang, you need to reach the City of Lijiang first. It is quite convenient to go to Lijiang by plane, by car, or by train.
By plane
You can fly to Lijiang from several big cities in China, for example, Shanghai. However, if you plan to visit other scenic spots in Yunnan Province on your way to Lijiang, it is advisable for you to fly to Kunming first, and then take a bus or a flight to Lijiang.
By car
Since Lijiang and its surroundings are famous tourist destinations, the highway network there is well developed. You can reach Lijiang easily by car.
By train
