The scenery of Qingshitan Reservoir changes as the seasons transform. Streams will thaw in spring after cold winters and the waterfall flows down the mountains. In summer, rains purify the air and clear the mountains. The fruits are ripe and smell sweet in autumn. Snow in the winter covers the reservoir and the green mountains which forms a beautiful picture. There are four hotels, one large water spots amusement club and some service facilities for tourists. Some minority groups live in villages on the side of the reservoirs like Miao, Yao, Dong and Zhuang. The villagers are simple and honest but they have different cultures. The Qinshitan Reservoir is a tourist resort that you can play with water, spend holidays and relax.

 Best Time to Visit Qinshitan Reservoir

 The best time is from April to October. Lingchuan Country is located in the northeast of Guangxi and it is in the south of the plain which is between Hunan province and Guangxi province. On the east, west and north banks of the reservoir is the famous city of Guilin. Also the reservoir is an important area to the military. The Qinshitan Reservoir has a humid subtropical monsoon climate. It has moderate temperatures and plenty of sunlight. The annual frost-free period is 309 days. The coldest month is January and the average temperature is 7.9℃. The hottest month is July and the temperature is 28.3℃. The average annual rainfall is 1900mm and the best time to visit here is between April to October.

 Qinshitan Reservoir Tickets:

 Entrance Ticket: 10RMB/person, Cruise: 20      RMB/person.

Note:   1. “Full Ticket”: 1.5 m above for children and adults

              2. “Children Ticket”: 1.2—1.5m children

              3. “Elderly Ticket”: 65 years old (with an ID card)

             4. “Free Ticket”: free of charge for children under 1.2m (when the children is with an adult)

             5. Some scenic spots has a discount with students’ card (except the college students)

             6. The visitors need to bring their ID card when collecting pre-booked tickets.

 How to Get to Qinshitan Reservoir:

By bus:

  1. Take the bus from Guilin station to Lingchuan Countain at Guilin Beiji Square and get off at Lingchuan Country station. (2RMB/person).
  2. Take the bus from Lingchuan Country to Qinshitan (4RMB/person).

Take the bus No.99 or No.100 at the center square of Linchuan Country and get off at Xinjian road intersection, then wait for the Lingchaun Bus which is an orange colour and leaves from the platform nearby. Get off at Tanxia road intersection station, at last take the bus which goes to Qinshitan Reservoir.
