The North Peak of Huashan is as high as 1614.9 meters, which is one of the main peaks. It is called North Peak because it is in the north of Huashan Mountain. It is steep and cliffy all around and can reach the sky. There is Ruoyun Platform, so it is also called Yuntai Mountain. North Peak is north to White Cloud Mountain and east to Liangzhang Mountain. It is connected to east, west and south peaks as well as Gouzhuang Valley. The top of the mountain is made up of huge stones, like nature itself. There is a platform where used to be Yiyun Pavilion, which is a good place to watch the other three peaks of Huashan Mountain, but now there is only remain of the pavilion.  Around the half way of the mountain are green and dense trees, which is a great place for visitors to have a rest. The station of trolley which was opened in 1996 is on the east side of North Peak.

There are many scenic sites here, among which the famous ones are Zhenwu Palace, Changchun Stone Room, Magical Cliff, and White Cloud Fairyland and so on. What is more, every site has a beautiful story. Changchun Stone Room is the hermit of Du Huaiqian during years of Tang Zhenguan. It is said that Du Huaiqian seriously trained himself for eating nothing. He liked playing the flute, so he always let his prentices to buy flutes. Every time when he finished a song, he would throw the flute into the valley and asked his prentices to buy more, going round and round. He could stay in the cave for months without getting up, so he called himself “Mr. Changchun”.
