Longtan Village is situated in the west of Moon Mountain, 1 kilometer away from it. The Longtan Village is 500 years old. A large group of ancient architectures of Ming and Qing Dynasties exist in the village. Its total area is over 6,000 square meters. The ancient architectures were built with blue bricks and blue tiles and carved with dragons and phoenixes. It is one of the villages in Yangshuo in which ancient architectures are just as the same as they used to be. The surroundings of the village are very beautiful. The main natural sceneries are ‘Lotus Pond Wonders’, ‘Disciple Mountain’, ‘Buddha Valley’, ‘Rhinoceros Spring’ and so on. These amazing sceneries attracted more than 10,000 tourists from abroad and home. Longtan Village became famous because of the ancient architectures and fruit tourism. The ancient architectures are wooden buildings. They are tall and row upon row. Although their structures are simple, the buildings are elegant. The size of the ancient architectures is very large. The most impressive buildings are ‘Miss Building’, ‘Horse Racing Building’, ‘Official Lane’ and the Maze Lanes. Looking at the magnificent buildings, you would admire the amazing architectural skills of the ancient people. The sceneries of the village are so beautiful that phoenix used to live there. The wood carving and stone carving of the village are also amazing. The local dishes of Longtan Village are very special. The Longtan Pancake, Longtan Tofu and Tender Tofu Flower are the representatives. And Longtan Fried Tofu used to be served as the tribute to emperors.
