The Gudong Falls Scenic Spot is a newly developed tourist resort in the south of the Ancient Town of Dayu in Lingchuan County, about 8km from the Guilin-Guanyan Tourist Highway and 25km from the City of Guilin. Its major feature is that the tourists can walk around the waterfall and climb up the mountain in straw sandals, which is rare within the country. Apart from the beautiful waterfalls and the cool mountain fountain, in the Gudong Falls Scenic Spot tourists can also enjoy delicious homemade dishes such as chicken, duck, bamboo shoots and potherbs.
Best Seasons to Visit Gudong Falls
Summer and autumn are excellent choices. In summer you can take part in the hilarious Water-splashing Festival which drives away the heat, and in autumn mountains covered in red maple leaves will present to you an impressive scene.

How to go to Gudong Falls
1. There are exclusive sightseeing tourist bus lines in the City of Guilin.
2. Self-driving: Get out of Guilin from Yushan Bridge in the east of city onto Guimo Highway. Keep an eye for the guideposts and you can easily find the place. The journey is about 20 km.
