Chinese People

When most of us think about Chinese people, we think of them as being intelligent. Prior to my coming to Beijing, I had limited contact with Chinese people and therefore I wasn’t aware of what type of people they would be. But coming to Beijing has definitely opened up my eyes; they are the most endearing people I have ever met. So Travel to Beijing via Air China and feel welcomed into strangers’ lives and be part of their friends and community.

Chinese people are extremely kind hearted people and so welcoming. I had a really bad cold at work one day, and one of my fellow Chinese colleagues bought in medicine for me the following day. My supervisor even came with me to the pharmacy during my lunch break one day, to talk to the pharmacist to help get the right medication for me. Another colleague noticed that I was always hungry as I never ate breakfast, so the following day she bought me in a chocolate bar. Nothing seems to ever be too much trouble for them, and even if they have a lot to do themselves, they will always attend to your needs first.

Another thing I noticed about Chinese people is that they prefer to be outside with the community then being locked in their houses watching TV. This was a big culture shock for me to see during my stay in China. When I am walking around I see people eating on small tables on the streets with this family, outside their homes, they play cards outside as well. I went for a jog yesterday and came across a lot of Chinese people who were outside doing different things. Some were playing ‘kick ups’ with a shuttle cock, there was a group of women dancing/ doing aerobics, there was even a young child teaching even younger children karate. It was a great atmosphere to be around, other people were just watching them talking, having a good banter. When I signed if I could join in, they were more then welcome for me to participate. Even though I couldn’t understand what they were saying, nor them me, we all laughed and smiled and had a good time. It made me realise that there is a real sense of community in China, they enjoy each others company.

Chinese people are also very calm people. Many a times I have gone for a night out and not once have I seen any one get into a fight. This is really surprising because in England, especially after people have had a lot to drink, you see fight all the time. It’s really pleasant to enjoy the night life without anyone getting hurt. Also in the working environment, if you don’t do your work right or do something wrong, superiors do not get angry, they calmly tell you to rectify your mistakes, which is nice as you can tell that they sincerely care about relationships more then business. For Chinese people, people come first then everything else, if everyone had this attitude the world would be a better place. So catch your Beijing Flights and experience the endearing nature of the Chinese people.
