Chenyi Square is at the end of Shili Nanjing Road in Shanghai. The first mayor of Shanghai in new China is Chenyi and his statue stands in the square. The bronze Statue is 5.6 meters high and faces the south. The base of the statue was made in red polished granite and it is 3.5 meters high. The statue reappears the work attitude of Chenyi. It shows his public servant image of honest, hard work and amiable, also the generous demeanor. Every weekend, the concern is held in the square attract many people. Chenyi Square fountain is located in the Nanjing East Road Bund and in the south of Chenyi Statue. The outside shape is square and in it has an oval modern fountain. The fountain water columns sprout with the sound. The bottom of the fountain has colorful light and in the evening, the color of the lights change in minutes. The water columns also change color with the lights and become the yellow, green and blue water columns. In the morning, many people do sports here and some people do Chinese Kung Fu. The whole of the square looks splendid.
