Beijing Zoo is located in the Xizhimen Wai Street of Xicheng District. The zoo covers an area of 86 hectares and the water surface in the zoo covers an area of 8.6 hectares. In the east of the zoo there is the Beijing Exhibition Hall and Moscow Restaurant. The previous names of the zoo are Farming Experiment Field, Natural Museum, the Ten Thousand Animals’ Garden and Western Suburbs’ Park. It is the oldest zoo and has the most animal species. It has more than one hundred years of history from 1906 to now. There are more than 450 species and 4500 animals for exhibition. Also they have more than 500 species of marine fish and marine animals. The Beijing Zoo receives 6oo million tourists every year. It is one of the large zoos and also the famous zoo in the world.
