Mount Baihua national level natural reserve was built in 1985 and located in Qingshui Town in Mentougou District of Beijing. The total area is 2.17 hectares and the core area occupys 0.68 hectares. Mount Baihua is a natural reserve that belongs to the forest ecological system. It is the largest narural reserve in Beijing for higher plant and rare wild animals. Mount Baihua has abundant plants and animals resources, therefore it is called “natural zoo and arboretum” in North China Region.

Best time to visit Mount Baihua

The best time to visit Mount Baihua is during the spring and autumn seasons. As during these periods the temperature creates the perfect climate as during the months April, May September and October the weather is neither too hot nor too cold. It is for these reasons that Beijing in autumn, is referred to by both foreign tourists and the nationals as ‘Golden Beijing’, where the sky is high and the weather is fine.

 Beijing is situated in the northern edge of North China Plain, the coldest month of the year is January with temperatures around -4.6 ℃, met by temperatures of around 26.1℃ in the hottest month of year, July; making the overall temperature for the year around 11.8℃. At the foot of hills and beside the sea, the climate in Beijing is typically warm, and semi-humid with four distinctive seasons all with their own individual features: a spring full of flowers, an autumn with an ever-present moon, a rain filled summer and a snowy winter.   1. By bus

Take Bus NO 917 at Tianqiao or Liuliqiao Station first, and then transfer to Bus NO 21 at Hebei Passenger Station and get off at Lianhua An.

  1. By Car

Jing-Shi Expressway Exit—Dajian Road—Hebei Town— Tuoli—Dongzhuangzi—The National road No 108—Jiayu Kou—Shijia Ying—Mount Baihua.
