Diecai Gate is located in front of Yangzhi Hall, it is an archaic building standing above the wind tunnel. While sightseeing, visitors can climb up the stairs of the gate. The “Piled Silk Hill” plaque written in official script by Wei Jichang is hung above the gate. The couplet on two sides was written by the administrative minister of Guang Xi named Zhang Xianghe and carved by a calligrapher called Wu Chundao. The couplet goes as follows: ”with the cool climate of Dieca Hill, happiness comes to heart”. After crossing the gate, a mix of historical, religious and natural scenery is waiting for you. Next to the Die Cai Pavilion, there is a 2.33m high, 0.77m wide petroglyph. The words, stretching over 43cm, are written in regular script and mean “the accumulation point of landscape”. According to the record of “travel notes of mountains in Guangxi”, Die Cai Pavilion was initially named “Ju Jing Pavilion”. The petroglyph was made to mark the landscape. The Die Cai Gate is the third work of Jing Yuqing, whose works are known to be decorous and powerful.
