Best Time to visit Beijing Botanical Garden
Beijing spring and autumn are neither too cold nor too hot. With a mild climate, they are the ideal travelling seasons. In autumn the city earns the name of ‘the Golden Beijing’, thanks to the clear sky and fresh air at that time. Though accessible all the year round, Beijing is at its best in April, May, September and October.
Beijing is located on the edge of the North China Plain, between mountains and the sea. Beijing has a typical warm temperate semi-humid continental monsoon climate with clearly distinguishable four seasons. It features spring flowers, autumn moon, summer rain and winter snow respectively. Beijing has an annually average temperature of 11.8 ℃, with the lowest monthly average temperature of -4.6 ℃ in January and the highest of 26.1 ℃ in July. The spring and autumn in Beijing are quite short while the winter is relatively long. Its annual precipitation is 644 millimeters and the frost-free period lasts 180 days every year. Though the winter in Beijing is quite long, the buildings are well equipped with heating installations, making the indoors as warm as it is in spring. However, there is a large temperature difference inside and outside, so sweaters and heavy overcoats are still necessities. Every visitor should regularly follow the weather forecast and commentary in newspapers or on broadcast and TV in Beijing. An alternative is to dial 859, through which you can listen to the weather forecast for a particular and following day in both Chinese and English. Nonetheless, most of the attractions in Beijing are cultural heritage, buildings and customs, tours to which will not be influenced by the climate. Therefore, you can come to Beijing throughout the whole year. Keep in mind that during the winter, Beijing tour agencies and hotels offer off-season bargains!
