Baihujian scenic zone lies in Yangfang Town, Changping Distrist of Beijing. It is part of the Taihang Mountains. With a total area of 4,600,000 square meters, the peak in the zone is 850 meters high. Baihujian scenic zone is one of eight most attractive views in Changping District, well-known for crumbling peaks and prehistoric ridges. The mountains are covered by a sea of clouds, and green trees in the secluded valleys. These are fantastic features in the zone.

Magnificent mountains, mysterious ravines and fastflowing streams are the three best views in the Baihujian scenic zone. Among the mountains, Mount Zhubi is a famous one, for it was named by Emperor Zhang in the Jin Dynasty (1115-1234).

There are breathtaking mountains like Mount Guanshi and Mount Baihu which appeal to lots of travelers. The rocks have special shapes like a whale setting sail, a lying tiger and many more. Caves like Bat Cave and White Dragon Cave can rarely be seen in other places.

The historical sites in Baihujian scenic zone are fascinating, for example there is a bed and a chessboard both made of stone, and different type of temples. There are five Yun Temples and a Shangfang Temple in the zone. The five Yun Temples are named Baoyun, Cheyun, Dayun, Qingyun and Qinyun. They are called this because ‘yun’ means cloud in Chinese.  ‘Shangfang’ in Chinese is above, so Shangfang Temple means it is the temple above five clouds.
