Park activities in Beijing

Nowadays Beijing has become one of the most developed cities of the East, characterized by a busy environment and lifestyle. For this reason local during their free-time especially weekends prefer to enjoy the “green” relaxing and walking around Parks. The latter offer the opportunity to catch a slice of Chinese culture, indeed is possible admire elderly people practicing the traditional water calligraphy on the ground stones or people practising Gymnastic. Beijing’s parks are the perfect spot where is possible to observe Chinese residences at their most relaxed and cheerful, making the surrounding atmosphere even more magic ad entertaining. Liuyin Park
The park is one of the less visited by tourists, in fact it is possible to pass by the park without even realising that is there. It is situated on the south of the third ring road and it’s enjoyed by residents of the Anzhen and Andingmen areas. Thanks to its secluded and peaceful location make it popular for young Chinese couples. Even if the park is relatively small, it is possible to get lost within its paths; it is advised to spend 45 minutes just to spot a good sight of the lakes.
Beijing Olympic Forest Park
It took 5 years to build The Beijing Olympic Forest Park constitutes one of the most amazing park experiences around the Beijing Province covering an area of 680 hectares. Within its northern area is possible to see the ecological corridor known also as the Green Bridge (a stretch of the 5th ring road). The park is so big that is almost impossible to don’t find your own private spot to organize picnics away from the busy day life.

Xiang Shan Park (Fragrant Hill)
It is situated 10km west of the west of the city in the West Hill quite close to the Summer Palace. Fragrant Hills Park is recognized as one of the major tourist attractions in Beijing especially during autumn, where the natural scenery in the park suddenly turns spectacular, with fiery red smoke tree leaves covering the mountain side creating the opportunity to take amazing pictures. Every year, thousands of tourists ride the cable cars through the park in order see the hills colored with autumn colors. The grand opening of the annual as Red Leaf Festival of Beijing takes place there. In Season, thousands of people climb up the steps leading to the breathless Xiang Lu peak.
Purple bamboo Park
The enchanted atmosphere of the Purple Bamboo Park is located closely to the busy section of the third Ring Road, exactly like the Beijing Zoo. It lies in the middle of a super modern busy area almost like an “Oasis” where people can refresh and rest themselves away from the stressful daily life. The park is mainly famous for its thick growth of Bamboo that reproduces one of the most traditional Chinese views. It is recommended to visit the park during the early morning or afternoon, avoiding office crowds. However the scenery of the lakes is spectacular at anytime of the day especially in the area close to the north gate where the multitude of paths leads to numerous gazebos, also enjoying the rabbit warren along the area.
