Gan Haizi Meadow is a wide meadow to the east of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, which is 4 kilometers long and 1.5 kilometers wide, at the height of 2900 meters above sea level. It is a natural meadow with mild terrain. When you are in the Gan Haizi Meadow, you can feel a sense of wideness and openness. In front of the eastern foot of the towering Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, there is such a large meadow which provides travelers a best place to look up the beautiful mountain.

From the Gan Haizi Meadow to the 4500 meters high snow line, you can see all kinds of plants, such as orchids, wild peonies, and snow saussureas. There are also tall arbors like Yuannan pines, cedars, abies fabris and chestnuts and so on. The Gan Haizi meadow is a natural pasture. Every year, in the warm spring, the herdsmen will take the tents, ride their horses and drive the yaks, sheep and cattle to graze here.

Every year, at the end of spring and the beginning of summer, here all flowers bloom together, forming into a huge garden. The whole meadow is filled with energy and vigor. You can take the direct cable car from here to the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain to watch the old snow and Kala Patter or go skiing.
