When talking about china travel, the first destination comes to our minds is Beijing—the modern cosmopolis; and to Beijing tours, a fantastic place you won’t miss is Beijing 798 Art Zone.
In 1950s, the Art Zone was gathered with a few factories, and till to 2001, this area drew many attentions from art organizations and artists with its convenient transportation and unique style, from now on, the art zone was gradually formed a district which gathered many art studios, cultural companies, fashion shops and so on. 
For those organizations and artists was first set foot on 798 factory, the art zone now was called 798 Art Zone. Beijing 798 Art Zone gathers a number of celebrities of art and culture, art institutions and enterprises in fashion. Many important international art exhibitions, art activities and fashion shows are often hold there, which attract many worldwide political importance , movie stars and social celebrities, and also thousands of tourists all over the world.
798 Art Zone is located in the northern east of Beijing, and far away from the center of the town. However, it’s very convenient for you to get there; both self-driving and by bus are ok. For driving yourselves, you can go to the forth Ring road and then to the Jiuxian Road; for public transportation, you can take bus No.401, 402, 418, 420 and many others, and get off at the Dashanzi station.
A few days ago, I went here with my friends, and took a look of this unique art zone. Mottled red-brick wall，Scattered orderly industrial plants, crisscross pipelines, slogans of different ages on the wall, these were the first impression that 798 Art Zone showed us. The most attractive part of our trip is the Creativity Fair. The fair was full of handcrafts, these little things are made by hand, and the materials are environmental-friendly, if you are environmentalists, you won’t miss the opportunity to feast your eyes. 
Most of the crafts are from Chinese minorities, like Dongbazu, in Yunnan Province, they have their own characters which look like all kinds of pictures, usually the local people wrote these characters on the bones, stocks, and woods. Now, they engrave the characters on the crafts to show their unique culture and spread it worldly. I bought a wooden crafts, it’s in the shape of a fish, with fours irony bells, and there are strange pictures on the body of the fish, the seller told me that the picture means everything with you will be ok and good luck for you. The craft is made by hand, not machine.
After the Creativity Fair, we went to other fashion shops, and galleries, in 798 Art Zone, there are nearly 400 organizations including galleries, artists’ private studios, cultural companies like animated cartoon, television media, publishing, design and consultation, which comes from France, Italy, Britain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Japan, Australia, South Korea, China, China Taiwan, Hong Kong and other countries and regions.798 Art Zone has become an exhibition center of Chinese culture and art, an influential cultural creative concentration area home and abroad. In most galleries, taking photos is forbidden, and you can appreciate the artworks with your eyes.
798 Art Festival will be held on 18th September till to 17th October this year, the main activities include the opening ceremony and the live dancing music party, the artworks exhibition and many other live performance. During this period, you can enjoy the Chinese art treasures and feel the exciting music and hot dancing; you will have a new impression of Beijing.
Travel to Beijing, besides the Temple of Heave, the Summer Palace, the Forbidden City, now you have another new choice—Beijing 798 Art Zone.
