First station: Shamian(the Guangzhou Bond)
Shamian is located on the bank of White Goose Tam. It was the concession of Britain and France in the history and now is an important tourist resort of Guangzhou. It is always called the Guangzhou Bond. There are more than 150 European-style architectures, 42 of them are of the New Baroque style, pseudo-Gothic style, the New Classic style and buildings of combination of Chinese and Western styles. Shamian is the European architectures complexes full of exoticism.
Second station: West Pass
Liwan, called West Pass in the past, known for its famous Litchi Bay. The character of West Pass is the Huge Houses. Huge Houses of West Pass was homes of businessmen and rich merchants. Huge Houses are made of woods and green bricks, front gate is decorated with granites. Its layout is according to the tradition of central plains and on the basis of depth direction. Its typical layout is three rooms with two corridors. They are symmetrical on the left and right. The hall is in the middle.
Third station: Shangxiajiu Walking Street
Shangxiajiu business walking street is one of three traditional prosperous business centers of Guangzhou and famous at home and abroad. During the long history, it gradually formed a unique and colorful picture combined by Chinese and Western styles. There are a lot of Guangdong gourmet foods in high reputations in the Shangxiajiu walking street, such as Nanxin Stewed Milk Beancurd and Nanxin Ginger Milk Custard, The delicious shrimp wanton soup, sweetheart cakes and so on. Except numbers of delicious foods, Shangxiajiu walking street is also a shopping heaven of Guangzhou. What is more, there is also a jade street full of superb collection of jade objects.
Fourth station: Sun Yatsen University
The Zhujiang River is called the Oriental Seine, on the south bank of the Zhujiang River, there is a classic and grand memorial archway stated: State-run Sunyatsen University. These words realize the spirit of self-esteem and pride, which has last for almost eighty years. There are lush trees and green grass all around the campus. All types of buildings are of antique beauty. In 1924, Sun Yatsen inscribed the motto of the university in his own handwriting. When you walk through the university, not only can you feel the beautiful scenic spots but also enjoy the academic breath of the renowned institution of higher learning and the long history of it.
Fifth station:Guangdong custom former site.
Walk from Shamian to the People Bridge, you will pass the Guangdong custom and Guangzhou museu. This part is the essence of the road. Guangdong custom is the earliest custom set up in China and the former site is located in NO.29 West Yangjiang Road. Guangdong custom building is the classical one of the European new classicism. It is majestic and magnificent and on the bank of the Zhujiang river. West Yangjiang Road is the essence part when you travel along the Zhujiang river.The environment is comfortable here, you can enjoy the beautiful night view on cruise, lots of buildings full of West Pass styles.
