Raffles City

On September 9, 2010, in Shopping, by Sammy Wahab Shubbar

Being the capital, Beijing is typically regarded as a great place to shop. From the hustle and bustle of the Yashow market selling the best in counterfeit goods to the more commercially known worldwide branded stores such as the Adidas( which I should state in Beijing is the largest in the world) situated in Sanlitun. Despite all these amazing attractions, I want to focus on a large shopping mall situated conveniently right next door to the CYTS company tower.

What does it have?

The raffles city shopping complex has all your household brands from Zara to Hello Panda. However, my favourite has to be Cirquis Clothing. Cirquis really is at the top game in terms of flawless fashion and cutting edge designs. You can get anything you want from hooded shirts to stylish street-wear, if you’re looking for that extra umph in your clothing then be sure to check out Cirquis Clothing.

Where to eat?

Not only does Raffles City have an amazing choice in clothing but it fails to disappoint in getting some good quality food. Two food areas are available; the first is situated on the bottom floor. Here you will be able to grab a quick snack whether it’s Western favourites such as KFC and Subway, or some chicken and rice from the Foodhall; Raffles City fails to disappoint. The top floor adds even more variety to what’s on offer at Raffles City, here you will find more upper market restaurants serving everything from BBQ dishes to more traditional Chinese restaurants. My favourite has to be Bal Thai, here you will find the best in authentic Thai cuisines. My personal recommendation is the Thai Green Curry; it is the perfect remedy for an empty stomach.

Delightful Desserts

After a busy shopping session, what better way to end a beautiful day than with a Hagen Dazs ice-cream? Here you will find a selection of high quality ice-cream delights, be sure to check out the green-tea flavour.
