Is it more convenient and quicker to apply for China passport by agent?

No. Appliers must go to the embassy to apply for their China passport themselves. The embassy does not commit any organizations or person to commission relevant materials. Appliers should prepare the materials according to the requirements of the embassy and be responsible for them. If appliers provide incomplete or fake materials or some other conditions not conforming to requirements, the embassy has the right to refuse the application. If found the fraud behaviors, appliers will be subject to relevant legal liabilities.

What materials are needed when adults apply for China passport?

1. Local valid residence certification and other lawful identify documents in original and copy.

2. Certification of Chinese’ nationality, document of birth’ date in original and copy.

3. Filling in the application form about “Passport and travel permission”.

4. Three passport photos.

What materials are needed when children apply for China passport?

1. Lawful certifications on child’s birth of date, and notarial certification on parent-child relation in original and copy.

2. Passports, local valid residence certifications of parents and credential of child not joining in the residential country’s nationality.

3. Filling in the application form about “Passport and travel permission”.

4. Three passport photos.

What materials needed when updating the passport?

If the China passport is of maturity or the visa pages have been used up, you have to take the followed materials to update the passport

1. The passport you are holding now in original and copy.

2. Local valid residence certification and other lawful identify documents in original and copy.

3. Filling in the application form about “Passport and travel permission”.

4. Three passport photos.

If you lose your passport, what materials needed to reissue?

1. The written statement on the process of losing passport (your name, date of birth, number of the original passport, issuing authority, date of issuing)

2. Local valid residence certification and other lawful identify documents in original and copy.

3. Filling in the application form about “Passport and travel permission”.

4. Three passport photos.

5. If it is the first time your passport is reissued, you will get your new passport after verifying applier’s identity and behaving of holding passport. If the second time, you will get in three to six months after verifying. If the third time, you will get in a year after verifying.

P.S. If you are temporary abroad personnel lost the passport, the embassy only reissue the valid travel card to go back China.

What materials needed to defer the passport?

To apply six months in advance before the passport’s maturity, every passport can be deferred as much as twice.

Materials needed:

1. Applier’s passport in original and copy.

2. Local valid residence certification and other lawful identify documents in original and copy.

3. Filling in the application form about “Passport and travel permission”.

4. Three passport photos.
