It is lying on the Grand Canal was firstly constructed Sui Dynasty (581-618 A.D.) and prolonged in Yuan Dynasty (1206-1368 A.D.) by the descendants of Genghis Khan. Besides the beautiful and ancient buildings and views on water, there are many museums as well. For instance, the wood carving museum, footbinding museum, hundred beds museum exhibited the lives of Chinese in Ming and Qing Dynasties. When you are tired of the modern and international city—Shanghai, you can escape from Shanghai and take the bus for about 90 minutes to arrive this silent but traditional small “water” town.
