As we all know, cheery blossoms are the national flower of Japan, symbolizing industry, bravery and wisdom. Their ethereal falling has left a romantic impression in many people’s minds, especially young girls’. Out of a desire for enjoying such beautiful and unique flowers, we, a whole class of linguistics, headed for Yu Yuan Tan Park on April 23 when a cheery blossom festival was being held there. It was a fantastic experience! So I’d like to share my beautiful memories with you here. If you plan to Travel to Beijing, you may choose to come in spring when you can enjoy the romantic atmosphere in Yu Yuan Tan Park as we did. By the way, don’t forget to go with some friends on your China Tours!
Yu Yuan Tan Park is located near the China Millennium Monument and the CCTV Television Tower. As it is very close to our university, it just took us a few minutes to go there. We passed by the CCTV Television Tower and entered the park through its west gate. The first thing we saw as we were entering was the gorgeous blooming cheery blossoms and crowds of visitors of course. The park was full of beauty and joy. Thousands cheery trees were blooming at the same time and these light blossoms were very easy to fall from the trees. Imagine you are immersed in a sea of cheery blossoms! Smell their fragrant smell and feel their softness and lightness when they are falling down on your faces, arms and in your hands! You will probably feel like in a dreamy land.
Faced with such wonderful scenery we couldn’t help taking up our cameras.
Then we found a grass-land on a small mound where we had a picnic. We
brought all kinds of delicious snacks there and enjoyed our lunch very much. You can see big smiles on our faces. During the picnic we found some of our classmates are very considerate and gentle and some others are very humorous. We feel much closer to each other in such a harmonious atmosphere. This experience really gave us an opportunity to know other classmates better.
After the lunch, we came to a forest of cheery trees. With the blow of the wind, the cheery blossoms were keeping falling like raining. Bathed in such pink rain, everybody started their beautiful dreaming! Our cameras captured this romantic moment.
Everybody was keeping smiling! At such a moment we just couldn’t find any words to describe all the wonderful things surrounding us. We just felt that we were in a picture together with everything!
No better way to express how we feel!
Besides the trees, Yu Yuan Tan has a lake of 61 hectares. Boating on the lake is another interesting thing. We took the greatest boat there. Sceneries on the lake were also very attracting. The water was so clear that the distant trees and tower can be seen clearly in the water. And a little paddling would make a series of ripples on the surface of the lake, making the inverted image blurred. And if you are careful enough, you will find some ducks playing in the water.
So that’s our experience in Yu Yuan Tan. I will never forget these beautiful sceneries and our happy time there. It makes the transitory spring of Beijing last longer. I really hope you can also have a chance to feel the beauty of transitory cherry blossoms. You can come to Yu Yuan Tan in spring during your Beijing Tours. I’m sure you’ll be satisfied.

We’ll be in Beijing in mid-April, and are interested in the Yu Yuan Tan Park & Two University tour (Beijing U & Tsinhua U). It’ll be 3 adults and 2 kids. Can you give us some advice? pricing? if you lead any guided tour?
Thank you,
