Fragrance Hill
In autumn, the most beautiful spots in Beijing is Fragrance Hill(香山)，located in Haidian district, in Beijing. It’s the famous forest park in Beijing, with an area of 160 hectares. In autumn, the maple trees are full of red leaves, as red as the firelight. Most of trees were planted in Qing dynasty, and now they are 200 years old. In October to November every year, the leaves turn into red, so October is the perfect season for Fragrance Hill.
Many tourists take their sleep bags and go camping here, enjoy the beautiful night scene and the fresh air. You can also take photos here and surely the pictures will be beautiful. On Fragrance Hill, there are also other attractions, Fragrance Hill Temple(香山寺), Yanjing Lake（眼镜湖）, and so on.

Yangtze River
ⅠThree Gorges
The most famous spots of Yangtze river is the Three Gorges, Qutang Gorge(瞿塘峡)， Wu Gorge(巫峡)， Xiling Gorge(西陵峡), approximately total 114km in length.
1. Qutang Gorge: 8 KM starting from the Baidi Town of Fengjie to Daxi Town of Wushan – Also known as Kui Gorge, the most awe-inspiring and the narrowest of the three gorges. It is only about 100 meters or so at its narrowest point.
2.Wu Gorge: 40KM starting from the mouth of the Daning River( the Little Three Gorges ) of the riverside town of Wushan to the Guandukou Town of Batong( Guandukou is 17km west of the riverside town of Badong County ) – Its cliffs tower is over 900 meters, topped by the sharp, jagged peaks on the either bank. A total of 12 peaks are perched on the either side, including Goddess Peak and Peak of the Immortals.
3. Xiling Gorge: 66KM starting from the mouth of Xiangxi River to the Nanjin Guan Pass of Yichang – the longest of the three gorges and the Three Gorges Dam stands at Sandouping in the middle section of the Xiling Gorge.
ⅡThree Gorge Dam
The Three Gorges Dam is in the middle section of the Xiling Gorge at Sandouping, 44km upstream from the city of Yichang. It is the world’s largest hydro-electric power station that traverses the Yangtze River aimed both at harnessing the power of the Yangtze to create hydroelectric power and controlling the river to prevent flash flooding that historically caused a great deal of damage. The huge project took 17 years starting from 1994 to 2009 with total investment of 180 billion Yuan RMB and rural-urban migration of one million people. On a Chongqing Yichang cruise, most of the cruise ships will pass through the two 5-stage locks of the dam. The well-known scenery of Three Gorge Dam is the calm lake between the high narrow gorges, the beautiful Chinese description is “高峡出平湖, 秀美如画廊”.
