Try this popular, exotic and relatively new night club to add too your list of Beijing clubs. Easily accessible from your China Hotels find Club Juicy Spot, this club is a real outstanding hot spot for R’n’B and club music.
I spent the evening there on a Friday night and didn’t stumble in until later in the evening as we stopped by the local liquor store to buy drinks before leaving. The club is based in Chaoyong district, we got into the club around 1 am when the club was heaving and free drinks were at the bar. Because it was a Friday it was free for females and again guys have to pay. They can get a discount for Y30 without one these they have to pay the full price of Y100.
Juicys
All night the drinks are free for females and the menu ranges from sweet mixture cocktails and just the regular vodka and coke. There were a lot of students stood round the downstairs bar. The night was international student’s night. They were buying shooters and drinking to their hearts content. After I got a cocktail at the bar I was looking around the club. Spoilt for choice for the seating area in this vicinity the interior was again like 1960 retro style a bit like Lenny Kravitz living room. All the seats were red leather.
The down stairs dance floor has a snooker room. Three or four guys were stood round the table competing against each other. They were so intense playing the game there was no chance of asking if you could play the next round.
After covorting downstairs in the bar, everyone made their way to the upstairs dance floor. There was a DJ playing loud R’n’B music which everyone was listening so intently to it was agonising. Again this seating area in the club was loud and plenty of sofa like seating areas. If you weren’t dancing you were sitting. Again there was a long bar serving free drinks which everyone were closely guarding the whole evening. The club upstairs interior was like a jungle with palm tree decorations from what I have a vague memory of. The atmosphere here is very friendly but very student orientated.
There were a lot of students in the bar drinking. This place is a very friendly bar and very easy to meet new people. You could be meeting any one from anywhere but a great way to meet new friends.
