Xinjiang Red Rose
Xinjiang Red Rose is a lively restaurant, opposite the workers stadium in Chaoyang stadium near Sanlitun; you can visit this restaurant for an evening away from your China Hotels or Travel to Beijing and add this to your list of places to visit.
The Xinjiang Red Rose is free entrance and is open from 11 am to 11 pm in the evening every day and closes at 12 am on a weekend. With lively music and belly dancing you will be sure to enjoy your evening.
The food is excellent quality ranging from kebabs and legs of lamb. The style of food is of Turkish descent. Including salads, chicken kebabs, Arabic rice dishes and Chinese style Turkish noodles you will find a complex and diverse range of dishes on this menu. You can also choose a range of dishes to compile together to make one big meal. For example choose a rice dish, salad, chicken kebabs and Nan bread etc and take a helping from each dish.
The choice of drinks in the Red Rose restaurant menu is soft drinks, juices, alcoholic beverages such as wine and spirits. They also have a range of teas on the menu. If you choose to dine in the evening at Red Rose you will find that around 7 – 7.30 pm musicians and dancers will take to the stage. The first set of dancers you will find are Chinese girls all dressed in silk dresses. They start off with a dance routine and then engage with the audience by smiling sweetly to the diners in the restaurant. The next set on stage is a trio band playing Arabian/Turkish style music. It’s all about timing with this restaurant as the entertainment really does come as a surprise.
After the band, Belly dancers perform on stage. One girl comes on to the stage with a snake round her neck which is slightly daunting. I think her style of dancing is Arabic. It is quite rare to see this entertainment anywhere else unless you purposely go to these events. Beware, as you might find that the dancers invite you on stage to dance. One event happened where a woman was belly dancing on stage and a person from our group stood right at the front of the stage taking photos and all of sudden found a snake round his neck. So just a word of warning if you don’t like snakes it’s probably advisable that you don’t stand right at the front of the stage.
After the belly dancers left the stage the band came back on to the stage playing Arabic/Turkish style music similar to the first set. You will find that this type of entertainment will continue in due course of the evening. The people in the restaurant are very friendly and talkative and the waitress is very helpful to. The service is very fast and efficient never leaving you empty handed.
Be sure to contact the Red Rose before travelling for seating reservations and to find out what entertainment is on that night.
