The zoo enclosure is very big and holds a huge selection of animals to go see. There are exotic birds to eagles, giraffes to elephants, monkeys to wolves, and even lions to bears! So it’s definitely worth a trip to the zoo if you like animals or not, just make sure you take a camera so you can take a lot of pictures.
The pandas are the most popular animal in the Zoo and have a great sanctuary for them here. Usually they are full of energy and excitement so going at the right times would be more beneficial for your trip to go during the afternoon or late afternoon, otherwise you’ll see a lot of sleeping animals. My favourite part of the day was seeing the lions, a few of the were inside and some were outside in a natural habitat. Other animals such as rhino’s, hippo’s and hyena’s are on show as part of the zoo.

The zoo is indeed a must visit, it was the best 2 hours I had in beijing! The pandas and the other cheerful animals make it worth far more than the 15 Yuan entrance.
