My advice to to use the website trip advisor or one similar this is a website where people rate and write comments on there experiences this is also a great place to get advice on the local area’s and make sure your clued up on what to avoid and to watch out for! Another way to check If a hotel is ok is to book with a respectable company who have there own rating system this way you know its’s going to be ok.

The best thing about China is that there is so much to do and see , you could stay for a year and still not run out of places to visit and see. Obviously there are the most famous ones that everyone knows about: the Forbidden City , The temple of heaven, Tiananmen Square and not forgetting the most visited one of all The Great Wall however these are only the beginning of the amazing places to see.
