Xinjiang Red Rose is a lively restaurant, opposite the workers stadium in Chaoyang stadium near Sanlitun; you can visit this restaurant for an evening away from your China Hotels or Travel to Beijing and add this to your list of places to visit.

The Xinjiang Red Rose is free entrance and is open from 11 am to 11 pm in the evening every day and closes at 12 am on a weekend.  With lively music and belly dancing you will be sure to enjoy your evening.

The food is excellent quality ranging from kebabs and legs of lamb.  The style of food is of Turkish descent.  Including salads, chicken kebabs, Arabic rice dishes and Chinese style Turkish noodles you will find a complex and diverse range of dishes on this menu. You can also choose a range of dishes to compile together to make one big meal.  For example choose a rice dish, salad, chicken kebabs and Nan bread etc and take a helping from each dish.

Red Rose Restaurant

The choice of drinks in the Red Rose restaurant menu is soft drinks, juices, alcoholic beverages such as wine and spirits.  They also have a range of teas on the menu. If you choose to dine in the evening at Red Rose you will find that around 7 – 7.30 pm  musicians and dancers will take to the stage.  The first set of dancers you will find are Chinese girls all dressed in silk dresses.    They start off with a dance routine and then engage with the audience by smiling sweetly to the diners in the restaurant.  The next set on stage is a trio band playing Arabian/Turkish style music.  It’s all about timing with this restaurant as the entertainment really does come as a surprise.

After the band, Belly dancers perform on stage.  One girl comes on to the stage with a snake round her neck which is slightly daunting.  I think her style of dancing is Arabic.  It is quite rare to see this entertainment anywhere else unless you purposely go to these events.    Beware, as you might find that the dancers invite you on stage to dance.  One event happened where a woman was belly dancing on stage and a person from our group stood right at the front of the stage taking photos and all of sudden found a snake round his neck.  So just a word of warning if you don’t like snakes it’s probably advisable that you don’t stand right at the front of the stage.

Belly Dancers at the Red Rose

After the belly dancers left the stage the band came back on to the stage playing Arabic/Turkish style music similar to the first set.  You will find that this type of entertainment will continue in due course of the evening.  The people in the restaurant are very friendly and talkative and the waitress is very helpful to.  The service is very fast and efficient never leaving you empty handed.

Be sure to contact the Red Rose before travelling for seating reservations and to find out what entertainment is on that night.  If you find this account interesting and would like to be closer to the wonderful depths of Beijing be sure to check out Beijing Hotels where you can be within walking distance from these notorius attractions.

This is the place where it all happens for chinese tourists, westerner’s and anyone else looking to find the odd Apple shop in Beijing. The city itself is still developing at the moment and you can really feel the mix between cultural and contemporary China. With more and more tourists visiting China and as businesses boom, it is no wonder that a western feel to Beijing is developing more rapidly. Sanlitun is an area at the heart of the city that congregates a mixture of people looking for anything from hotels to bars, top end restaurants to street food, or fashion to cheap bargains. You can find all it here! Be sure to book your trip through China Travel Depot so you can receive the best deal and for a hassle free trip, book a guided tour.

The Village, Sanlitun

So far, my experience at Sanlitun has been very busy. I haven’t had a lot of time to slow down and explore every corner what Sanlitun offers, but it has been more than enough to say the least. I have seen many well known businesses that operate in the west which is great because it helps to see something familiar such as the Apple store or McDonald’s. At the same time, I have seen so many new stores that offer so many different types of cloths and foods. When I do get a chance, I’ll pop into a shop and have a look around at what things they sell. If I was a billionaire, I don’t think it would be enough money to cover the costs of some of the cloths I’d like to buy out here, they’re ridiculously cool! I’ve noticed puffer jackets are very popular here and I am eager to get one from somewhere, so at the moment I’m waiting for the best bargain. There are so many shops and more places to visit yet so be patient when you buy from a big western retailer. I say this because I had made the mistake of walking into a store in Raffles City, it was full of vintage type cloths and a jacket caught my eye from a store window. I walked in a tried it on (with the intention of buying) and I had thought it was going to be fairly cheap but to my surprise it was 2453rmb! I made a quick exit. Learning from this devious experience, nothing in Beijing is what it seems at first glance, you have to look closely and explore the options. There are plenty of markets to also have a browse around too around Beijing such as the Yashow Market and Silk Market, so taking the time to visit these places is very worth it, unless 2453rmb is in your price range of course!

Bar Street, Sanlitun

There are a number of other shopping malls in Beijing which I will talk about in my upcoming entries. If you found this somewhat useful and has given a brief insight to life in Sanlitun, then book a hotel there through China Hotels. You’ll be right in the centre of the action and won’t be too far off from a familiar face, food or shop. But be rest assured that seeking an alternative path in Beijing will make your trip here more adventurous, so don’t just stick the Sanlitun, it should be the platform in which you can explore the other possibilities that Beijing offers.

Nowadays, china travel is more and more popular among foreign tourists. Beijing, Shanghai and Xi’an are always the most popular places to visit amongst travelers, however Tibet is now becoming more and more well-known for its unique culture and peaceful environment. Travel to Tibet could be your option for China Tours.

To get to Tibet, most foreign travelers arrive by plane. Chengdu, Beijing, Xi’an, Chongqing and Xining are all the starting points to Tibet. Gonggar Airport connects Lhasa with most cities. The airport is located in Gonggar County, about40.3 miles south of Lhasa city. It takes about 2 hours and costs approximately CNY 25 by shuttle bus to downtown Lhasa. By the way, traveling by train to Lhasa is another choice. The first section of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway between Xining and Golmud was put into use more than 20 years ago. The second section between Golmud and Lhasa began to operate on the 1st of July, 2006. With a total length of 1,956 km (around 1,215 miles), Qinghai-Tibet Railway is the longest plateau railway and also the highest in the world beginning from Xining in Qinghai and ends in Lhasa. It shall be agreeable to enjoy the beautiful scenery on the train.

As for the air tickets, you can go to the websites of airlines, such as China Airlines, or you can seek help from travel agencies, such as China Youth Travel Service (CYTS), or click on www.chinatraveldepot.com, the official website of CYTS, here you can find different air tickets of different airlines, and generally speaking, more discounted information is offered to travelers.

Now, here is a brief introduction to Tibet—it is known as the Roof of the World. For centuries the mysterious Buddhist holy place has attracted millions of tourists, and Tibet is locked away in its mountain fastness of Himalaya, as a result, Tibetan people have exercised a unique hold on the imagination of the west. For adventurers and traders it was a land of treasure and riches. Tibet is without doubt one of the most remarkable places to visit in China, even in Asia. It offers fabulous monastery sights, breathtaking high-altitude treks, and stunning views of the world’s highest mountains and some of the nicest people you will ever meet. As the capital city of Tibet, Lhasa is rightly one of the most featured and dreamt-about cities in the world. Its impressive heritage of over a thousand years of cultural and spiritual history has helped to create the romantic and mysterious Tibetan religion.

One of the Must-See place in Tibet is the Potala Palace, which is now on the list of Chinese national key protected cultural relics. It is the most valuable storehouse in Tibet, having a huge treasure house for materials and articles of Tibetan history, religion, culture and arts. The Palace is widely known for the precious sculptures, murals, scripture, Buddha figures, murals, antiques, and religious jewelry treasured up, they are of great cultural and artistic value.

The Jokhang Temple(大昭寺) is constructed thousands years ago. Now the temple has been enlarged many times over the centuries and now also houses statues of King Songtsan Gambo and his two famous foreign brides. However, the original statue of Jowo Sakyamuni Buddha that Princess Wen Cheng brought from Chang’ an over 1300 years ago is definitely its most sacred and famous possession, and is perhaps the most venerated religious artifact in all of Tibet.

Travel to Tibet can be adventurous, and full of excitement. Traveling equals to the opportunities to learn something new and some thing you are interested in and I hope you can have a brief understanding about travels in China.

Do you know where China is? Do you know the lives of local Chinese people? Do you want to have an adventurous china travel? If so, just join us on China Tours and find your answers here.

China is located in the east of Asia, and faces the Pacific Ocean. With its vast territory and abundant resources, China attracts many tourists each year who want to discover this amazing country with its varied scenery and interesting culture.. In the following article, I will share some travel tips with you.

Tips on Flights

When searching for flights, we usually want to find some discounts. I recommend a reliable and reputable travel agency in China called China Youth Travel Service (CYTS) .You can find hotel, flights, deals, and cruise information on its website–www.chinatraveldepot.com. Generally speaking, you type in the date, time, destination and departure airport, and then you will get all the information about the flight you are looking for. The advantage of doing this is that you can find competitive prices by comparing different airline tickets.

Tips on Hotels

Having a good rest during your stay is very important as it will give you enough energy to visit everything you want to see in China. Therefore it is necessary to find a comfortable hotel to stay in. In China there are different types of hotels, from three-star to five-start accommodation and from luxury hotels and family hotels to cheaper hostels and inns and so on. In fact, family hotels are very popular amongst travelers, because they can be more comfortable and the prices are very reasonable. A good example is Jinjiang Inns. It is a famous brand in China’s budget hotel brand and the best of its kind because it is clean, cheap, new, and well located. Besides, Jinjiang Inns features a variety of room types that will meet your overnight requirements. The quality of the bedding will guarantee your good night’s dream, and the uncomplicated modern room design will lessen your stress. Jinjiang Inn is internationally known as the ideal resting place for business travelers or tourists, whichever you may be.

Tips on Travel Package

When you are making your travel itinerary, there are a few tips you need to know. Firstly, you need to decide whether you want to travel in a group or by yourself. If you want to travel in a group, it is best to find a travel agency, as they can make a clear itinerary for you, and you do not have to worry about the transport, the accommodation and all the other details. However, if you prefer to travel alone, you will need to find some travel tips on the internet or go to your friends who have travel experience for help. Therefore I believe that it is better for a new traveler to travel in a group so that they have less stress and feel safer.

Tips on Traffic

Here, I will take Beijing for example. Nowadays, Beijing has an efficient traffic system, such as the taxis, buses and the subway. It is very easy for you to travel around Beijing. The subway in Beijing is very fast and convenient, there are more than ten lines and many tourist attractions are connected with the subways, such as The Summer Palace, which is on Line 4. Usually there will be a subway every three minutes, the first departure time is at 5:30 in the morning and the last departure time is at 11:00 in the evening. You can also transfer whenever you need to, but keep an eye on your luggage as there is a security check before you get on the train.

So, this is our china travel, go and  book your China Flights and have a great trip.

If your very daring and up for a challenge I urge you to visit Wangfujing Street aka the place of the night market. Its open every day from 5pm-9pm and all weather. Here you will find many exotic eats, they have stalls lined up next to each other with anything you could want, and many things you don’t want! To name a few they have scorpions, starfish, grasshopper, snake, silk worm, millepedes and Beatles its certainly not for the faint hearted!

Night Market

At night fall this street is transformed into a bustling market full of hungry clients, the food does range in price and can get quite expensive for the more bizarre items. I would suggest going in a group so you can have a sample of everything as the portions are a good size.

Star fish

They have a lot of food besides the wierd offel sticks mostly fried chinese product such as beef balls and pancakes, some of them even have delicous vegetable and sweet items. The best advice Is to be brave and try everything, remember you only live once!

A menu from the market

The best way to get there is via subway it is on subway line one and the station is on the southern side of the street which is one stop eastbound to Tiananmen square. If this account has inspired you to want to travel Beijing but don’t know where to start for some great low cost travel idea’s go to China Tours. Or if you need advice on hotels go to China Hotels.

The Tashilhunpo Monastery is situated  just west of a small city called Shigatse, which is the old ancient capital of Tibet it’s very pretty I would recommend a visit. The best way to get around is to do what the locals do and rent bikes, they cost about 30RMB they makes it really quick and easy to sight-see and get around. However if that’s not your scene log onto china travel to get some great tours and travel tips.

Tashilhunpo Monastery

The Tashilhunpo Monastery sits at the top of the Nyima Mountain amongst vast landscape and beautiful scenery. It represents the Tibetan super architecture art in the last Tibetan spirit. The monastery is still fully working with monks praying and worshipping daily, it also attracts thousands of visiting Buddhist and tourist all year round. The Tashilhunpo Monastery was founded in 1447, the literal meaning of the name in Tibetan is ‘heap of glory’ since then the monastery has grown almost double in size. The Monastery is one of the four great monasteries of the Gelugpa school of Tibetan Buddhism, thus making it one of the must see places when visiting this area. The Monastery seeks to provide the Tibetan monks the best possible modern education, along with a deep and intimate understanding of the heritage of Tibet.

The view from the Monastery

A trip to the monastery is a very pleasant and relaxing day, it’s great to walk round and take in the natural and ornate buildings and status. Like many other places in china, the monastery has a magnificent golden roof  that can be seen reflecting the sun from miles away. If this account has inspired you to want to travel Beijing but don’t know where to start for some great low cost travel idea’s go to China Tours. Or if you need advice on hotels go to China Hotels.
