Have you ever experienced a cruise in China? If the answer is “no”, why not book with China Flights and explore yourself on China Tours.

It is a well-known fact that China is located in the east of Asia; and with its vast territory and abundant resources, it will give you more surprises than you could imagine. The most famous river in China is the Yangtze River, which is located in the south of China. With a length of 6397 kilometers, the Yangtze River is the longest river in Asia, and the third longest in the world, after the Nile in Africa and the Amazon in Latin America. Together with the Yellow River, they are known as the Mother Rivers in China.

The most attractive feature of the Yangtze River is that it goes through many different provinces, such as Tibet, Sichuan, Yunnan, Chongqing; a total of 11 provinces. And as a result, as you travel along the river, you will enjoy the different landscapes, from peaceful waters to rapids, and appreciate the different Chinese minorities’ lifestyles. However, for most newcomers, it will be difficult to travel here as they don’t know the local customs or traditions. Therefore a tour agency which offers cruise packages is a good choice for them. And here I recommend a famous China travel agency called China Youth Travel Service (CYTS), the most popular and reliable travel agency in China. With its talent and technology, it is committed to providing a high standard of services to its customers. For more information you can go to www.chinatraveldepot.com.

On the website of CYTS, you can find more competitive prices by comparing different services offered by different enterprises, and therefore save on energy and money. For example, if you are going to travel to the Yangtze River and you have no idea how to plan your itinerary, you can go to CYTS for help. Here you will find different itineraries with more detailed information. One of the optional itineraries is From Chongqing to YichangThis itinerary is known as a gold line of navigation. It is the best scenic part of Yangtze River to visit; its shining beauties keep attracting tourists from all over the world. Mountains, gorges, hills, plains, like a painted corridor filled with historic legend, this trip will provide you with an amazing, unique experience. Option two for the itinerary is from Chongqing to Wuhan.

With this itinerary, you can enjoy another scenic part of the Yangtze River which really is the idyllic life, right out of a storybook. Between Wuhan to Yichang, you can breathe the country air; hear cows mooing; birds chirping; buffalos grunting and cooing doves. Itinerary three is from Chongqing to Shanghai. Here you can have an in depth view of the Three Gorges region. This trip brings travelers on an intriguing journey, a leisurely but thorough sightseeing experience along the Yangtze River and Three Gorges. You will see a vast array of boats carrying passengers and commuters across the “Long River-Great”, you may see a conveyor belt loading a barge, trucks dumping coal onto a barge, three wheelers carrying cargo down to the shore and coolies hand carrying sacks onto a boat. This is a dichotomy of Chinese industrialization in a micro view. Everything I have mentioned above is only a small part of the services CYTS offers; there are also detailed plans for your whole journey. Choosing CYTS will definitely give you a perfect china travel.

However, nowadays the most popular travel destinations are no longer these major cities in China; it is the more peaceful, ancient cities which are the new choice for China Tours. If you are interested in these, just book with China Flights and come join us.

Pingyao Classic Day Tour

Pingyao is one of the ancient cities in the Shanxi Province. It is located in the mid-west of China, and our fantastic tour begins from here. Pingyao is the best-preserved of the four ancient towns in China. Inside the intact Ming Dynasty city wall, this traditional town, whose buildings date from the Ming and Qing Dynasties, is exceptionally well-preserved, and looks just as it was centuries ago. From here we visit the Qiao Family Mansion, which is located in Qiaojiabao Village. About 30 kilometers away from Pingyao in the Shanxi Province of northern China, this mansion was built during the reign of the Qianlong Emperor(1711-1799) during the Qing Dynasty. The mansion was the residence of the famous Qing’s financier and businessman Qiaozhiyong. It is now famous as the setting for the Chinese film, ‘Raised the Red Lantern#, which stars Gongli as the leading role.

Gardens in Oriental Venice

Suzhou in Jiangsu Province, is famed as the Oriental Venice, and has attracted tourists from all over the world. Apart from the peaceful villages along the river banks, there are also classical gardens. The history of classical gardens in Suzhou dates back to the 6th century B.C when various kinds of gardens were built for the local governors, noble families and celebrities in different dynasties. There were more than 200 gardens in Suzhou during the 18th century when Suzhou was the richest city in China and the so-called “paradise on earth” city. Today we will visit the Humble Administrator’s Garden- one of the four most famous gardens in China and the Garden of Master of Nets- the most elegant and exquisite one in Suzhou. During these of the gardens you will be able to understand more about Chinese paintings, arts and even the philosophy that humans should live in accordance with nature and enjoy it without making any changes which will affect the environment. You will also have the chance to wander around the old streets and the Panmen Ancient Watergate where the canals and bridges stand, telling more stories about the history and charm of this ancient city of Oriental Venice.

Kunming Tour to Stone Forest and the Dragon Gate on West Hill

Kunming is the capital of the Yunnan Province, which is located in the south-west of China. Traveling to Kunming will give you the chance to see a fantastic natural phenomenon – The Stone Forest. It is located 90 km southeast of Kunming. The various shapes of the karst landscape were formed due to the millions of years of the Earth’s movement. The Stone Forest area is the home of the Sani people, whose folk customs have become one spectacular scene, with colorful embroidery and minority dances combined with the natural scenery, it will definitely leave a long-lasting impression on you. Animals, plants, and even human figures can be found here. Some are elegant, some are rugged, and each is lifelike with its own distinguishing characteristics. An old local saying says that “if you have visited Kunming without seeing the Stone Forest, you have wasted your time”. Therefore the Stone Forest is one of the most important attractions of Yunnan.

So, go and explore yourself on china travel.

When you’re on your China Tours don’t forget to pick up some fresh fruit from the local supermarket and store them in your fridge or take them with you. This is always a good nutritional and healthy snack for when you get hungry.    Buy bottled water for your China Hotels.  It is known that water from the tap is not fresh in China.  I tend to buy bottled water usually as I much prefer the water.  It also has a fresher taste and cooler if you store it in the fridge.  Bottles of water can be bought in many convenience stores and supermarkets.  You can also stock up on food for storage aswell.

The supermarkets in China have had initial success in packaged foods such as frozen foods, refrigerated foods, tin foods and dry foods such as rice, flour and even cooking oil.  The produce in China is a little different from the supermarkets in the west.  Usually a lot of the time if you’re in China you will want to stay at your hotel and grab something quick and easy.

The supermarkets in China don’t sell much convenience foods.  For example: Microwaved meals which is majorly marketed and encouraged in the UK.  Instead China supply packeted noodles.  Similar to ‘pot noodles’ the noodles here are sold in larger pots.  Just add hot boiling water and add the ingredients to make the noodles more flavourable.  The noodles are a lot thicker and the ingredients are a lot heavier hence, making the noodles a lot tastier.   These noodles make a delicious meal if you add meat or vegetables to the dish.

If you like potato chips (or crisps as they call it in the UK) the supermarkets in China sell ‘Lays’ which are an American Brand and are similar to the ‘Walker’ style crisps.  You can also buy ‘ Pringles’ but are a different style and texture.. You can also buy Waffles, UFO potato crisps, VF Sweet potato crisps and many more which are a produce in China.  The flavours are very different.  They are not like the simple flavours you would buy in the UK such as cheese and onion, salt and vinegar and plain flavoured crisps.  They are more like Lemon flavoured, Chicken flavour, classic flavour, tomato flavour and many exotic flavours.  Many of the Chinese eat dried fruits such as mango, dates and nuts as a supplement for a snack.

Lays Crisps

The chocolate here is very similar to what you would buy in the UK such as Cadburys, Sneaker bars and Dairy Milk.  They also have their own produce of chocolate.  If you like cheese there is a selection of processed cheese or fermented cheese.  Unfortunately they don’t have the good old English cheddar in these supermarkets.  This trend is found with most of the produce in China for example the vegetables.  They don’t sell the same vegetable types in China like they do in the UK such as Coli flour, sprouts, Beetroot, carrots, cabbage etc instead sell vegetables such as cabbage called Baocai and carrots which are called Huluobu, caihua, wawacai, xiqinbaihe and many more.

The Chinese are not lazy when it comes to cooking and obviously the supermarkets in China cater for the home cooking.  But it’s really intruiging to differentiate the foods from the west.  For example you can buy a boiled duck egg for a snack.  They also sell lychees, lamb testicales, scorpion, cat, sea horses, slugs.  Many of these foods are found fried on local market stalls. The supermarkets also sell many international branded foods such as kellogs, Nestle and Danone Milk, Hormel sausages and hot dogs.  The Chinese have many foods which cater to meet consumer demand which leave China in a very competitive market.

They even sell exotic products just to get consumers in the door.  However with business booming in China and the growing middle class they have the purchasing power to buy a lot of imported foods from places all over the world such as Asia, America, Oceania and Europe leaving supermarkets such as Lianhua and Hualian developing quickly and catering for consumer needs.  Many of the supermarkets in China sell wine, deodorant, makeup, cleaning products so are a great convenience.  Some of the supermarkets are quite small and local such as the Wal mart and Carrifour these supermarkets are just as convenient making your shopping experience a lot easier.

So when you’re in China you really got to see it for yourself so check out china travel and be prepared for your stay in China.

Travel by Ourselves to Destination—Wuxi

When people are on their business china travel, their real travel time almost is cut-down. So do I. But I still feel well about what I experienced in Wuxi’s attractions. And I want to share my experience right now.

Firstly, booking China Hotels online. I recommend this because the hotel we checked in offered us effective cost which was better than my imagination. The name is Pod inns, economic hotel offering about RMB 100yuan per Standard Room. It is a new brand in China economic hotels, founded in this year. Decorations inside is very fashionable. Orange-colored furniture, cute drawings along the corridor and artistic wall clips make a cozy condition for guests. Though some rooms there is a little small, it does not influence comfort. Oh, Pod Inns is nearby the railway station. It just takes 10 minutes walk.

Second, attractions in Wuxi. Within limited time, we just went to Yuantouzhu Park and Chongansi Temple. Because Yuantouzhu Park is the most attractive place on the bank of Taihu Lake and Taihu is the must-go place for tourists in Wuxi. And Chongansi Temple is the business center of Wuxi. It is a good place to feel about city’s economy conditions.

Yuantouzhu Park consists of several small islands and a main island. Considering our research activities, we took Taihu ferry, taking close to Taihu water and enjoying its wide views from water surface. Then we stayed on Taihu Immortal Island for a long time to do our reserch on tourists.

Without no more information collected, we firstly regarded Chongansi Temple as a real temple. And we planned to finish our research in this temple scenic spot. But until we arrived there did we find that Chongansi Temple is not a real temple but business center of Wuxi. That made us gives up original plan and just takes a short time walk around it. There are so many locals taking relax in the park especially the olds and kids. And young people went shopping happily. It was Sunday. That made me feels their lives of ease. Located in the east of China, Jiangsu is a rich province compared with other areas in China. That night I found that Chongansi Temple is regarded as Little Shanghai by most people and the living standard in Wuxi is higher than other places in south Jiangsu Province.

Third, Wuxi flavors. We checked a lot before starting off and finally tasted neosalanx taihuensis and steamed crabmeat & pork dumplings. We tasted taihuensis in Hengyun Restaurant, Yuantouzhu Park. It tasted fresh and fragrant, very delicious. And we chose the most famous shop—Wangxingji, which has the most wonderful and authentic steamed dumpling flavor. It is located in Zhongshan Road, facing Wuxi Babaiban and Christian Church. We ordered Chinese dumplings and steamed crabmeat & pork dumplings there. Dumpling wrappers there are different from North China area. It is full of soup juice. And you can not see it through the surface. The juice is very warm and humid. The meat is very tender and delicious. And the wrapper tasted very chewy. Just imagine it!

Though it is a business travel, our Wuxi travel is very unforgettable. And I hope there is another chance for China Tours.

Nowadays, china travel is one of the destinations of travel fans; however, for the most newcomers, one difficulty they have to face is the air tickets. If there are some tips about airlines in China, it will be easier for them to have perfect China Tours.

Regarding air tickets, we usually book them online in order to save a lot of money and time. However it can be difficult for travelers who decide to go to strange countries to book their air tickets on the Internet. In the following article, I will tell you about a new way to help you book your travels: using a travel agency.

In China, one of the most popular travel agencies amongst foreign visitors is China Youth Travel Service (CYTS), whose website is www.chinatraveldepot.com. This travel agency is committed to providing a high standard of service to its customers, and it is well-known both in China and abroad. The services it provides include hotel reservations, booking flights, tour packages etc. The best part of CYTS is that you can find more reasonable prices by comparing the prices of all the different airlines or hotel brands. For example, if you want to book a flight from New York to Beijing, you need to enter the Departure city, Destination and the time you want to leave. Then your search will produce all the flight information available including the flight numbers, the boarding time and the price.

There are some tips about getting off the flights when you arrive to China. Taking Beijing for example, the Beijing Capital International Airport is the main airport which connects China with foreign countries; therefore, most international flights transfer here. Beijing Capital International Airport is located in the north east of Beijing, in Shunyi District which is one of the districts in Beijing. The main international routes include Anchorage, Athens, Bangkok, Busan, Copenhagen, Daegu, Delhi, Dubai, Frankfurt, Fukuoka, Hiroshima, Ho Chi Minh City, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Karachi, Kuala Lumpur, Kuwait, London, Los Angeles, Madrid, Melbourne, Moscow, Munich, Nagoya, New York, Osaka, Paris, Pyongyang, Rome, Saipan, San Francisco, Sao Paulo, Sapporo, Sendai, Seoul, Singapore, Stockholm, St Petersburg, Sydney, Tokyo Narita, Tokyo Haneda, Ulaanbaatar, Vancouver, Yang light and so on. Therefore, it is unnecessary to worry about that you cannot go to China by air. By the way, there are shuttle buses which are from the Beijing Capital International Airport to the main transfer stations in Beijing, the ticket is only 16RMB.

One more thing you need to consider is the tickets for your back to your country or other new destinations. In China, there maybe something different, it is better for you to be clear about the stuff.

Firstly, you had better arrive at the airport 90 minutes earlier, for you need some preparations, such as printing the boarding card, the security check, and so on. Secondly, to be sure that you have your ID card or Visa with you, for they are needed when you get your boarding card; and if you have luggage to check, you need to check it yourself. Thirdly, the security check. You need to pass your boarding card and ID card to the screeners and then go through the electric gate, here be sure that explosive objects are not allowed. Next, what you need to do is waiting for the air taking off. When getting on board, there are more funs than boring, such as, watching the hit movies, listening to the popular music, enjoying the delicious food, etc.

So, book China Flights and explore yourself.

Asia Travel Agent for China Tours

On November 17, 2010, in Must-sees, Tibet, Tours, Transportation, by Jack Li

It will be joking if someone asks where Asia is, the same to where China is, for Asia, especially China has been well known by people all over the world. In the past decades, China has made great changes beyond your imagination. In 2008, Beijing, the capital of China, held the 29th Olympic Game; in 2010, Shanghai, the largest port city of China, saw the World Exposition. Those are reasons why China Tours are so popular among tourists, and of course, there are many more attractions in China, such as the historical sites, ancient buildings, landscapes, and more. So, why not book China Flights and explore yourself.

Actually, in my point of view, it is unwise for new comers to travel in a strange country by themselves. The reasons are followed: firstly, you don’t have the experience when you come to a new palace; such experiences include how to get to the popular attractions, how the local people live look like, how to avoid the language barriers, and so on. Secondly, generally speaking, the more time you spend on making your itinerary, the more enjoyable your travel is. However, travelers usually do not have enough time, energy and experience to plan their itinerary. As a result, an excellent travel agency is needed. In the following articles, I will recommend you a famous China travel agency, which is also famous abroad and it is named China Youth Travel Service (CYTS), the website is www.chinatraveldepot.com.

The specialties of CYTS are the hotels deals, the flights deals, the tour packages and deals. By this way, you can save your time and money, for there is more discount information which is provided by all kinds of hotels, and airlines. It is easier for you to find out more reasonable prices. And I will show you an example for more understanding about the travel agency. Pretending that you decide to travel to Tibet in the southwest of China. Firstly, an air ticket is needed; on the Flights Section you will find the flights information, choose the day you will departure, and the type of your seat, then the prices will be bound up, select it and by now you have reserved the tickets, all other unnecessary procedures are omitted which cost your less energy and cash. Secondly, before your departure, you had better book a hotel, on one hand, there will be a discount for prime reservation; on the other hand, in order to avoid the hotels are full and no empty rooms during the peak tourist season. Furthermore, to make your travel itinerary more detail and specific, that means you need to arrange your time proper, to assure you have enough time to visit as well as have enough time to relax; therefore, the tour package will be a good choice, for the tour guide will arrange your itinerary more reasonable, and she or he can assure your safety from any other unexpected happenings. By the way, the hot attractions in Tibet is the Potala Palace, which is now on the list of Chinese national key protected cultural relics, also is the most valuable storehouse in Tibet. Purple Mountain is not the easiest of places to get to however, there is an hourly bus service from Nanjing train station. I would suggest maybe taking an organised tour, one website that I can really recommend which has great travel Idea’s is China Tours. Purple Mountain overlooks the city Zijin Shan, it gets its name from the distinctive colour of the rocks that are all over the mountain.

The mountain is a magnificent  area with many small hills covered in lush greenery such as bamboo groves. It also holds many  famous historical monuments i.e. The Mausoleum of Dr Yat-sen  and the Linggu temples.  I would suggest spending a whole day here as it is a massive area to cover with many hills and inclines, its definitely a trip for the more energetic traveller! However on the eastern side there is a cable car right up to the top although you will miss a lot of the interesting history, its still worth it just to see the picturesque views.

Amazing views

One of my favourite parts of the day was seeing the Mausoleum of Dr.Sun Yat-sen although the tiles are not the original yellow the building is still grand  and a sight to see. The building actually was redone in 1929 hence the white wall and blue roof as they represent the Nationalist party.

Another monument that shouldn’t be missed is the Linggu Pagoda which was also built on 1929, it stands a massive 61M and was designed in memory of the soldiers who were killed in the 1911 revolution.  During my time at the mountain I also visited Ming Xiao Ling, this is the tomb of the first Ming emperor Hongwu and his wife. It was completed in 1405 but has had to undergo a massive reconstruction after much of it was destroyed in the Taiping Rebellion.

Linggu Pagoda

Once at the top there is a small observatory tower which houses a display of bronze instruments which date all the way back to the 15th century, these were everyday items like a comb and a cup. Its such a Pleasant day out I would recommend this trip to anyone who is interested in Chinese history. If this account has inspired you to want to travel Beijing but don’t know where to start for some great low cost travel idea’s go to China Tours. Or if you need advice on hotels go to China Hotels.

The 17th Asian Games has been open in November 11th, 2010 in Guangzhou, China. The government invested RMB 120 billion yuan on preparation of this Asian Games, including the constructions of stadiums, and the environment and public facilities of Guangzhou city. The government also tried the free public transit policy during the Asian Games. As the winter is coming in northern China, such as Xi’an Tours are cooling down as well. But Travel to Guangzhou is popular because of the warm weather and this Asian Games.

In order to encourage the tours to the Asian Games, the government controlled the price of flight tickets to Guangzhou. The discount is around 60% off and the flights from Beijing to Guangzhou are 40% off. Also the government used to establish the free public transit so that the traffic situation will be better. However, this policy suspended after a week, as too many people were attracted by the free subway. Instead, the residents in Guangzhou received the subsidies for encouraging the public transit. Also, from the first day of this month, Guangzhou government applied the “odd-even” restriction policy to the vehicles on road. This policy is welcome by drivers. All the main streets are no longer jammed during the rush hours. In addition, the safety check became strict in railway station, airports and subway stations in Guangzhou.

The opening ceremony was fabulous and the theme was “From the sky to the land, human and nature are universal”. The stage of opening ceremony was Pearl River and the background was the city. Water is the key throughout the ceremony. During the ceremony, all the athletes were taken by the boats to arrive at the stadium. The fireworks on that day were compatible with the highest television tower in the world. The firework was like the rainbows falling from the two sides of television tower. The idea came from the chapter of Genesis of Bible—the firework rainbow represents the peace. And the “counting down” part was also presented by the fireworks of numbers. The environmental concerns are also involved in this firework shows. All the materials are environment friendly rather than the traditional pollution ones. The closing ceremony will be in Sea Heart Island on Nov 27th. And the free tickets for rehearsal shows will be available for people.

If you are in Guangzhou, the dim sum is the must-try cuisine here. The “Morning Tea” culture has been a part of Guangzhou for a long history. It is actually the dim sum breakfast with proper tea. The “Morning Tea” includes small, middle, large, x-large dim sums. The small dim sum is generally the fried sesame pancake. The middle dim sum is fried dumplings, tarts, fried rice noodles, porridge, steamed steak, seasoned and steamed chicken feet. The special dish includes the fish wings dumplings. Another part of the “Morning Tea” is the tea itself, such oolong, scented tea, Pu’er tea, Tie Guanyin, and chrysanthemum tea. This is also a social method for networking in Guangzhou. It is like the pub culture in western countries. Instead of drinking, the local people gather together of tasting some dim sum and a cup of tea.

The culture in Guangzhou is quite different from Beijing and Shanghai. This is an old city with particular customs and habits, as well as the language. The Asian Games provides a good chance for the world to know more about Guangzhou. And the government has put a lot of efforts on improving the environment, traffic and public facilities.
