Depending on how much you want to spend there are a variety of places in Beijing to go and have a spa day, or just nip in for a quick polish. If you want a cheap and quick job you can go to the experts in any of the markets, this will cost around 20RMB for a pedicure and 30RMB. However this may not be the most relaxing experience ,because although its out of the way of the main market it still is quite noisy and hot.
Relaxing massage
They also do all sorts of massages i.e back,foot, hand, head etc but it can get quite cramped and it’s not very private. But for the price it s great value for money. If you want a more relaxing experience and are prepared to pay that little bit extra there are many different nail and massage salon’s all over, Beijing that offer deluxe treatments in a chilled and lavish atmosphere. One that I can recommend is Lollipop which is located in the Salitun area about a five minute walk from the village. Getting treatments done at lollipop is a very nice experience, as soon as you arrive you are welcomed in by the friendly staff, many of whom speak great English. Then you are treated to a coffee or cocktail from there vast drinks menu, they have big plush reclining arm chair which are so soft and comfortable. When I went I was given the best foot massage it lasted 30mins and cost 60RMB it was great exactly what I needed! Sometimes the massages can seem a bit violent but this a technique used to get any tension or knots out they really put effort into.

If you do decide to get your nails done you wont be disappointed, the Chinese girls at the majority of the places are really skilled they can paint any design you want depending on the length of your nails. You can have jewels and glitter or anything you want I saw some pretty amazing art designs whilst I was there! You don’t need and appointment they usually just do walk In’s.
