Since the global economy has become so bad, not only the government, but also every family has to consider how to save money. As family trip is always a part of regular cost, you have to think of how to lower the budget. Then travel to Asian countries might be a good choice because of the currency rate. And China would be your first station, since it is convenient to other Asian countries and it has both traditional eastern culture and modern style fashions. You can Travel to Xi’an to explore the Ancient Silk Road, while you could also Travel to Shanghai to be merged in the environment—When East Meets West. After some analyst, I have concluded the top cheapest airlines from Shanghai to different popular tourism cities in China. The reason I picked Shanghai to be the starting point is that the competition among airlines focus in Shanghai.

From Shanghai to Xi’an. Currently, the Spring Airlines provide thecheapest flights to Xi’an. The lowest price can be as low as RMB 200 yuan, compared with RMB 700 yuan in China Eastern Airlines. The flight departs at 2:05pm from Shanghai Pudong Airport and arrives in Xian Yang Airport at 5pm. The second cheapest airline is China Southern Airlines which costs about RMB 380yuan. It is an early flight and it leaves at 7:25am and arrives in Xi’an at 9:55am. The Spring Airlines is the first and most famous low-cost airline in China and its typical promotion is the RMB 199 yuan tickets.

From Shanghai to Hong Kong and Macao. Again, the Spring Airlines is the cheapest one for your travel to Hong Kong. You can merely spend RMB 500 yuan from Shanghai to Hong Kong which takes 2.5 hours. You may have known about the relatively lousy service on the flights of Spring Airlines. However, since it becomes sometimes even cheaper than the train, the company has to reduce some cost during the operation. If you really care about the quality of service on board, then the second cheapest flights come from Hong Kong Airlines. And it charges for around RMB 1300 yuan. For Macao, the selections are less. You can either choose Shanghai Airlines or Air Macao. Both airlines sell the tickets at the price as RMB 1600 yuan. The flight time is around 3 hours.

From Shanghai to Tokyo and Seoul. As I have said that it was quite convenient to go to other Asian countries. From Shanghai to Tokyo, the cheapest direct flight is from Air China, Delta Airlines, and China Eastern Airlines which cost around RMB 1900 yuan. Or if you do not mind connecting flights, you can still take the Spring Airlines, then Asiana Cargo. And this combination cost RMB 50 yuan less than the previous airlines. The direct flights take almost 3hours, while the connecting flights need to stay overnight. To Seoul, the air tickets are much less than the flights to Tokyo. The cheapest price is from China Southern Airlines which charges for approximately RMB 700. You can either leave at 8am in the morning or 3pm in the afternoon. The prices are the same.

Thanks to the tense competition among airlines, the price for travelling within or outside of China is getting lower and lower. Although the fuel surcharges and airport construction fees have been increased to RMB 120 yuan, the air tickets are still low. Besides the Spring Airlines, other specific low fare airlines are Dragonair, Korean Airlines, Cathay Pacific Airlines, and June Yao Airlines. Especially the June Yao Airlines which was established in 2005, one year after the Spring Airlines was on operation, is said to have both good service and low fare at the same time.
