For international flights to China, there are a few airlines for you to choose. The usual Chinese airlines for these routes are Air China, China Eastern Airlines (North America), and China Southern Airlines (Asia, Middle East and Australia). But if you are travelling within China, there are a lot of low-cost airlines for your option. Depends on where you are going, you would better select different airlines. Shanghai Spring International Travel Service (春秋航空). This must be the most well-known low cost airline in China. It led the revolution in Chinese airlines. When it was established in 2004, this airline prompted the

Since then, this airline always provides the lowest price compared with other airlines, as long as it is operating the same route. But the service on the flight is far worse than other airlines and any food cost money. If you care about the service and environment on board, then this may not be a good choice for you.
Dragonair (Hong Kong Dragon Airlines Limited,港龙航空). This airline was established in 1985 and now is the second largest airline in Hong Kong. The flights mainly focus on the Asian countries and mainland of China.
The luxury VIP waiting rooms of this airline locate in Hong Kong International Airport, Kaohsiung International Airport and Shanghai Pudong Airport. This is a ideal option if you want to travel to nearby countries in Asia. For example, Dragonair offers at least ten flights to Singapore from Shanghai each day and the price is always the cheapest. The price is usually around RMB 2200 yuan while the normal price of Singapore Airlines is three times of Dragonair Airlines. Another example would the flights from Shanghai to Hanoi. There are at least 12 direct flights of Dragonair each day and the price is around RMB 2000 yuan.
Juneyao Airlines (吉祥航空). This is another new low-cost airline which was established in Shanghai, 2006. The main service is within China, such as from Shanghai to Hu He Hao Te, the capital of the Inner Mongolia 
autonomous region. This direct flight cost only RMB 400 yuan. The flight from Shanghai to Nanning, this airline provides the second cheapest ticket which is just a little bit more expensive than Spring Airlines. Why choose this airline rather than Spring Airlines? One reason is that for this low-cost airline, there are no flight attendants selling or advertising products on the flight and the snacks and drinks are free. Therefore, if you are considering both the price and the service, you will be satisfied with this airline.
Thanks to the competition among airlines and more new airlines, travelling by air has been the first choice for average Chinese. It is possible that you can get a ticket by several hundreds to a long distance away. But the most important thing is to choose proper and cheap online agency to compare and book your air tickets.
