Located at the arched area in the southern end of the Yanshan Mountain subsidence zone, Badaling Great Wall rolls over green mountains adjacent to ravines and gullies. More than 96 % of this area is covered with trees and greenery. The wall is built upon mountain ridges, which range from 600M to a whopping 1,000m above the sea level. Thus giving this section of the wall unique geographical and climate conditions, Badaling Great Wall is always on average 6～8℃ lower than downtown Beijing.
