Hot Skating Rinks in Beijing

When it comes to winter, would you choose to stay at home or do some exercise out doors? If you are in your China Tours, I strongly advise you to go outside and enjoy the winter scenery in when you Travel to Beijing. As I have write something about ski resorts in Beijing, now I want to tell you something about hot skating rinks in Beijing.

Outdoors

1. Weiming Lake skating rink

Weiming Lake is an artificial lake inside the Peking University. When winter comes, the water turn into ice and people can skate on the ice. There is no ticket for entering the Peking University and it only takes you some money to rent a pair of skates. It is such a popular skating rink that you can see people of all ages skate on the ice in a happy mood.

It feels good to skate in a row (by putting your hand on the shoulders of the one before you) and form a “long dragon”. What is more, you may find cute boys skating skillfully while enjoying his sugar coated haws!

Opening time: Late winter (depending on the time when water frozen)

Tickets: 4 RMB an hour for students and teachers in Peking University, 8 RMB per hour for others. And 16 RMB with no time limitation.

2.     Shichahai skating rink

Shichahai skating rink located in Houhai, Xicheng District. It is a skating rink in the open air too. The rink is divided into three sections: one for playing ice hockey, one for skating and the last one is for playing sleigh. It may be a little bit cold to skate outside. Warm your body up before playing outside and keep moving!

Opening time: Late winter (depending on the time when water frozen)

Tickets: 5 RMB on weekdays, 10 RMB for weekends, 30 RMB to rent a sleigh and no time limitation.

Indoors

3. LECOOL skating rink

This skating rink is inside the International Trade Building in Jianguomen, Chaoyang District. It is an artificial ice stadium on underground 1 with light background music. The ice there is good and you can ask a coach for help if you are a totally green hand.

Opening time: 10:00 to 22:00

Tickets: 30 for one and half an hour before 18:00, 40 for one and half an hour before 18:00, 50 for the weekends.

4.     New world skating rink

The new would skating rink is inside the new world department store in Chongwenmen 5 Street in Chongwen District. It is inside a big shopping mall so parents would like to take their children there. Children can skating while mums shopping, What a good idea to kill two birds with one stone!

Opening time: 9:00 – 21:30 on weekdays and 9:30 – 22:00 for the weekends.

Tickets: 45 RMB for one and half an hour

5. The capital Gymnasium Skating rink

This skating rink is located in No.56, southern street in Zhongguancun, Haidian District. The environment there is pretty good for professional athletes usually get trained there. As a result, the ticket there is a little bit expensive than in other places.

Opening time: -7:00 pm

Tickets: 40 for the weekdays, 50 for the weekends with no time limitation.

Of course, they are only the skating rinks I know. However, there are plenty interesting skating rinks that I have not mentioned. Perhaps you can tell me some more information about them.
