Namtso Lake
Namtso Lake is the highest salt lake in the world and the second biggest one in China. It is located in the the southeast side of Nachu area, middle area of Tibet. The lake is famous for its nature beauty and Buddhism.
Namtso Lake was formed from the movement of Himalayas in the beginning of 4th century. It looks like a huge precious mirror lied in Northern Tibet Grassland. It is surrounded by Nyenchen tanglha’s peak with snow all the year in the southeast side, the rolling hills and plateau in the north side. In addition, grassland around the lake is natural pasture. Around the lake are often bears, wild yak, wild donkey, blue sheep, fox, river deer, otter and other wild animals inhabit.
Besides, Namtso Lake is worshipped as a goddess by the Tibetans. It is said that every year of the Goat, Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, expanding law of God, set up altar in Namtso, so people went to worship at this time. It is also said that Chanting around the lake once could be better than usually turn toward the lake chanting ceremony by thousands of times, and this would get immeasurable blessing. So when the time comes, monks and believers comes together no matter how long it does, and chants for a circle to get great happiness. This activity will get its peak in April 15th. You may be amazed to witness that. The five islands standing upright in the lake are also said as the incarnation of Five parties Buddha.
To Namtso travel, you must be in time for the rainy season from June to September each year. Since other months would be snowy that could stop you entering.
Hoh Xil
Hoh Xil is located between Tibet and Qinghai Province. It is one of the most perfect place that is saved from the original ecological environment in the world. Hoh Xil in”Mongolian language means for beautiful girls. Tibetan Antelope, the National level to protect animal long live in there. Hoh Xil climate is characterized by low temperature and less rainfall, high wind and large regional differences. Natural landscape there ranges from southeast to northwest showing alpine meadows- high-cold steppe and cold desert replaced, and the main type of alpine meadows.
Skeleton Wall

Nachu Town

It has steaming Nagqu geothermal in the south of this town and a display area about ancient exposed geothermal in the southwest side. You can visit Lee Teng Temple, the largest Gelugpa temple in Nagqu and Nagqu Folk Village.
