According to a special report about expectations in the next decade by Forbes Magazine, you can take so-called “Trans-Eurasia Express” train from Paris to Beijing with the speed of over 300mph. It is an amazing expectation. However, current possible way to Travel to Beijing from Europe is the airplane. So information and tips of China Flights are still your concerns before planning the trips. This article is trying to ease these concerns or worries about how to get tickets as cheap as it could be.

Choose the right period for travelling. The Golden week, National Holiday, has just passed, and the hot situation of all kinds of traffic finally calmed down to normal. The dates near this period are not the good time for travelling in China. It is quite crowd and expensive. The international flights may be not as expensive as the domestic ones which are generally full-priced during this week. But any expense within China, including flight, train or bus tickets, is larger than usual days. Just from today, October 12th, the prices for all airlines are getting decreased sharply. So choose the dates several days after this crazy busy Golden week, you could also get cheap tickets to China.

Another holiday causes the same situation is the Spring Festival in January or February, which is more “horrible” than National Holiday. NEVER choose several days before the Spring Day, as the flights are always full-priced, no matter international or domestic. And what is worse, the stress on domestic public transit is unimaginably huge. If you choose travelling between these days, the experience will be unforgettable but horrible. But Spring Festival is the largest Chinese traditional festivals, like the Asian Christmas. Therefore it is a good time to explore traditional cultures in China. Then you can choose the flight just on the Spring Festival day, or 1 or 2 days after this day. The tickets are extremely cheap because of the same reason on Christmas day.

Book round trips to China, but single trip within China. You might be curious about why I am saying this, since every advertisement of airlines is recommending round trips to get cheapest tickets. It is true if you are taking international flights to China, but it is not useful for booking flights within flights. The differences of prices between single or round trips are few for domestic flights in China. Not sure about the reasons for this, but it is confirmed by several airline tickets agents and my own experience. So there is no need to bother making your decisions for round trip tickets in the same company. You can compare prices among several airlines and choose the flight which is more suitable.

Register for a specific credit or card before travelling. It is a quite long journey from Europe, Australia or North America to China, which means you could earn many gifts through accumulating a lot of mileages. For example, for each round trip from Toronto to China, I accumulated the mileage equal to $100 gift cards on aeroplan. And if you also have the credit card which has the same function, you will obtain other gifts from the credit card company. Once you have chosen the airlines to travel, remember to check the information on the alliance or mileage card that is accepting these airlines.

Generally, the Air China provides connecting flights with many local airlines in your country. As it is the largest airline in China running international flight, there is quite small odd that you will get luggage lost or delayed. And you could have some rest during the long-time flight by dividing this into one or two stops with cheap tickets.
