Last Saturday, under the school’s arrangement, we students majored in Tourism Management had a 1 day free travel to Tianjin because the China Tourism Industries Festival were holding in Meijiang Convention and Exhibition Center in Tianjin.
The guide was a Tianjin local people. And he strengthened that travel to Tianjin could be very different from Travel to Beijing. The most different one was that Beijing Tours could not forecast its time because of its heavy traffic jam. Surely, it was right.
On th
e morning, we just visited the exhibition in Meijiang. The EXPO would hold in Oct 14th to 17th. And it had 5 exhibition areas. The first was the main exhibition pavilion and exhibition facilities for yachts and water sports. The host city and other provinces in the Bohai Sea had their booths here. Aimed at building the first platform of the yachts’ demands and supplies in Bohai Rim and the most professional yachts expo in northern areas, they combined domestic and international cruise ships, yachts and water sports facilities R&D, manufacturing companies and cruise companies, domestic enterprises and cruise boat operations exhibitors. The second section is the exhibition of outdoor equipment and technology in tourism. It fused of travel technology building, entertainment vehicles for tourism, the new environmentally friendly scenic area equipment, intelligent information technolog
y, field relief and rescue, personal outdoor sports as the six commodities. The theme “Technology innovate tourism industry” was full of high-tech achievements into the integration of the tourism industry. The third exhibition is for the travel and tourism project planning and design exhibition results. And the fourth one was the hotel supplies, fashion accessories Exhibition, which consist of hotel supplies, famous high quality tourism products, featured products in Taiwan and Japan. While, the last exhibition area was China travel and tourism education and talent development in cooperation talks pavilion. We saw tourism institutions all over the country, showing the new achievements in talent education in recently 30 years. After visiting these static exhibitions, we caught with the Travel Fashion show. It mainly showed us the material of Xinjiang Silk. We were amazed by its bright and smooth surface and vivid colors. Besides, models here were very beautiful.
After the exhibition, we took the tour buses to Tianjin Nanshi Food Street. On the way to it, we passed by several foreign settlement in Modern China. The feeling was some kind of strange. We seemed saw the different building style of these countries. On the other hand, it reminded us the modern history of China, especially the history Eight-Power Allied Forces invaded China. We had lunch outside the Nanshi Food Street when we arrived there. As most of us grow up in inland, we enjoy the seafood though some were not so fresh. After having dined and wined to satiety, we went to the street. There we knew the food three cut off. They were Goubuli baozi, Erduoyan fried cake and 18th Street fried twisted stick. Surely the most famous one was Goubuli baozi, which was named from the literary quotation that Gouzi sells baozi with no words to guests because he was too busy to talk. And the name of Erduoyan Fried Cake came from its birthplace which was called Erduoyan hutong. Identically the 18th Street fried twisted stick named from its location the 18th street hall. Recalling the founder of the three cut off, though they were all born of low extraction, they had ambition and constantly studied cooking techniques, with special emphasis feeding standards, not self-deception, which made the customer trust their food. Their spirit of their work was definitely worthy of learning.
Next, we went to Tianjin Ancient Culture Street. There we knew another three cut off, which refered to Tianjin’s folk arts and crafts. While figurine Zhang colorful clay and kites of kite Wei, just as its name implies, were clays and kites made by people whose last name was Zhang and Wei seperately, the Yangliuqing New Year Pictures named from its original place Yangliuqing Town. Just like the food three cut off, the founder of the folk arts and crafts were full of excellent skills and persistence. Their spirit impressed us a lot. By the way, we good friends had throw the coins into the lucky flogs’ mouth successfully, which hinted that we three people would have good luck and bliss. That made us very happy.
