Travel in Xiamen
Ferry boat:
Gulangyu is an island in Xiamen which contains many famous interests(Sunlight Rock, Undersea world, construction of mounuments etc), so if you want to get there, the only way is to get there by boat. It is free to go from Xiamen to Gulangyu and it takes 8 yuan to come back. One more yuan is charged if you want to sit on the upper deck.
There are many owners of privates boats near the ferry, they usually ask for higher prices but offer services lacking of security. Therefore, do not take their boat for your safety.
Taxi: minimum fare for three miles(8 yuan)+2yuan per mile*miles
Bus: 1 yuan each time. (prepare some small charge for it.)
